Drew some Suzaku x CĂŠcile ecchi fanfic illustration â¤ď¸đ
My OTP at the moment. It makes me sad that there aren't much people who ship it (I am the only active shipper, lol). Thought, there are canon hints on this ship:
CĂŠcile loves Suzaku
It is said in newstype magazin that Suzaku likes older woman (in romance)
He also stated in this interview, that besides of Euphie he admires CĂŠcile
The creators commented in one episode that there is history between them
CĂŠcile dresses suggestive for Suzaku obviously (who isn't a virgin anymore)
So the history we didn't get to watch can mean different things... Suzaku is probably aware of her feelings but can't return the love (bc of former love died) and maybe they have something like an affair together - at least CĂŠcile hopes one day to marry Suzaku (last (?) picture drama episode) what means, that she didn't gave up on him, what makes it more plausible that their conversation was at least about their feelings, that wasn't shown to us.

This passage is a beautiful meta for Code Geass. Without disturbing the original creator, I would want to point out
Karren is presented as his inverse, because she, unlike most of the Japanese people, is rebelling against colonization, and, though given the opportunity to attain Britannian status as half white, rejects it
Holy Britannian Empire indoctrinates racism, but not exactly white supremacism. Members in Purist Faction/Purebloods might not be white.
So I read theroguefeministâs meta on Code Geass and while thereâs a lot of it that I donât agree with (like reducing Nunnaly and Euphemiaâs roles to a âheteronormative beardâ when they were very very important to the story), I agree with the whole Suzakuâs self-punishment and repression thing, and that his romantic love for Euphie was just one of the ways he used to repress himself and didnât have the positive effects he claim it had
And I donât know if Iâm just stating the obvious or something, but the one scene that illustrate it the most is the one in R1EP20
Suzaku, while running out of energy and being in danger of dying, receive Euphemiaâs confession, which is an order to love her (while I donât think Euphemia wanted to force Suzaku into anything if he showed he didnât want it, the power dynamic is very much still there)
Euphemia confess her love to Suzaku, tell him the things she love about him and ask him to not hate himself
Suzakuâs answer is then typical of R1 Suzakuâs he says âso I only made you worry more, didnât Iâ he then says he has the impression that Euphieâs attitude is what opened the doors of his heart (which I donât agree with, and that he disproves in his very next words), but such a touching confession, youâd think itâd motivates him to care about himself a bit more or at least try at caring about himself, but thatâs not what happens
He thanks her, and immediately go back to his suicidal bullshit (if anything he doubles down on it), he says he has one âlastâ request, that she doesnât hate herself for his demise, and to erase everything about him in order to not trouble anyone with his death, and even tell her to send her regards to Cecile and Loyd and even Schneizel (who he doesnât personally care about). Heâs fully intending to die and isnât even saddened by it.
He has no intention of trying seriously to live his life now that he has a fancy excuse for dying honourably and it shows
Euphie, horrified, tell him to not die, and to âlive !â, and instead of reacting to her words and how saddened she would be about his death, the âliveâ plea, show his eyes go red, symbolic of that time Lelouch was the one telling him to live, and thatâs what makes him reconsider (whether itâs just because heâs geassed or itâs a metaphor about his relationship with Lelouch is debatable)
And then he gets saved by Lelouch, and directly contrasting Euphieâs order to love her and the power imbalance between Suzaku & Euphie, Lelouch, despite having a taller knightmare, places himself on the same level as Suzaku by kneeling, and offer to fight together, as equals,
Suzaku then smiles genuinely and takes him up on the offer
just another little anti-suzaku-hate rant because suzaku kururugi is love & deserves some appreciation (esp if lelouch is gonna get praised)
(these are my feelings after binging Code Geass Season 1. I've just started Season 2 so my feelings can very well change)
I actually like Suzaku Kururugi. Like, a lot.
I love both him and love-hate Lelouch, even though I find many of Lelouchâs actions and his outlook on some things despicable (yet this egomaniac still has a piece of my heartâŚergh. Itâs tiring, these conflicting emotions).
But people are out here hating on Suzaku yet are worshipping Lelouch when Lelouch has heartlessly murdered and manipulated tens of times more people for his own selfish gain. But itâs Suzaku that people pile grief onto.
This just doesnât make sense to me.
Suzaku isnât perfect and his idealism is a little misguided, but at least he cares about humanity more than Lelouch has proven to. Lelouchâs main driving factor is not the Japanese people, but his revenge on his father and providing a better life for his sister (who, if weâre being real here, doesnât even have that crappy of a life to begin with, especially when compared to the Japanese). The people and âjusticeâ only come after.
Wanting a better world for Nunnally is a commendable goal, but the means heâs taking to get there are justâŚatrocious at times, honestly. I get that in war, sacrifices must be made. To raise a rebellion, life will be lost. I get that, I totally do. But Lelouch sacrifices lives from both sides with little care unless itâs people heâs directly connected with, and when he is faced with the consequences of his actions (like with Shirleyâs dad and Euphemia), he disregards them in the end as merely âa necessary sacrifice.â Itâs pretty heartless, actually. He only really shows a struggle with this when itâs people who he personally cares about or has ties to.
And thatâs selfishly hypocritical.
This isnât hating on Lelouch, because as much as he infuriates me, I actually love him a lot. Heâs a fascinating character and when he does show his caring, affectionate side, itâs a wonderful thing to beholdâhowever, Iâm also able to recognize and call him out on the wrong he does. Iâm not saying he doesnât care at all for humanity or the Japanese, for he does, just when it comes to his end goal vs people, he chooses his end goal every time. If the sacrifice doesnât directly affect him, he rarely thinks twice about it or will regret it.
Lelouch is willing to sacrifice anything and anyone on a mass scale to give a better life for his sisterâŚand for his revenge. Yet no one dislikes him for this. No one hates on him or calls him out on this. But you know who they will hate on? Suzaku Kururugi.
âHeâs a little b*tchâ âHeâs so annoyingâ âCan he just die alreadyâ âHeâs always in the way I hate him so much!!â What did this kid do though to deserve all this hate? Yeah, he joined the Brittanian army, but the whole reason he did so was to make a difference with as little life lost as possible. Suzaku wanted to change things from the inside out in a way that didnât require so much blood, death and destruction. Yeah, itâs very idealistic and naive, but Suzakuâs intentions and heart are 100% genuine. He doesnât have any ulterior, self-centered motives driving him like Lelouch does. And he certainly doesnât willingly sacrifice lives to achieve his goal the way Lelouch does.
Both Suzaku and Lelouch share a goal: to bring peace to the world. Their methods are different, yes, and both characters have some serious flaws. But theyâre different sides of the same coin utilizing different means to achieve their goal. The difference is: Lelouch has more selfish reasons as his main driving reason and heâs willing to sacrifice anyone who stands in his way.
Itâs hypocritical to praise Lelouch but turn around and hate on Suzaku, especially since Lelouch has done way more heinous things and is willing to sacrifice anybodyâs life to achieve his goal (he only debates this when itâs someone directly connected to him). Suzaku at least values human life and is trying to change the world with the least amount of life lost. Heâs not perfect and in no way am I saying he hasn't done wrong as well, for he certainly has; however, it's not nearly to the scale as Lelouch and not as intentionally as Lelouch has. So with that, I just donât get how people will strongly hate Suzaku but will turn around and excuse/worship everything Lelouch does.
Anyways, rant over. Ofc everyone is open to their own opinion and can love/hate any character they want; I just wanted to defend my boy a bit because there are a lot of hypocrites out there who hate on Suzaku for things that they turn a blind eye on when it comes to Lelouch.
hereâs my hot take on why r3 is a little messy in terms of what it means for suzaku and his future. spoiler cuts below and disclaimer: i REALLY enjoyed resurrection! but i did have an Issue...
so like. lelouch made suzaku zero for 3 reasons:
1. zero, as a constant symbol of justice, would eradicate the root of all evil, himself, after lelouch managed to consolidate power enough for nunnally to disperse it later after his death.
2. by having suzaku as zero, heâd essentially be nunnallyâs knight, which was his whole plot from the beginning
3. (and this oneâs important) suzaku would be forced to live on, completing his penance for the crimes that burdened him, but without the burden of his actual existence.
lelouch essentially tricked suzaku into living on in a way that suzaku was okay with. he satisfied suzakuâs necessity for masochism and atonement while simultaneously âkillingâ him in a way that didnât actually kill him. and suzaku accepted because this was his punishment, and he was the only one to be able to do it. jeremiah couldnât do it, cc couldnât do it, no one else. just him.
having lelouch alive negates all that.
because part of the burden of the title of zero comes from the fact that suzaku is the only one to be able to do it and thatâs what makes it appealing to him as someone who feels like he needs to struggle and suffer. if lelouch is alive, then heâs fully capable of being zero again. it would be better, actually, if he were because suzaku canât keep up with the intellect and tactical prowess that zero once displayed. truthfully, those kinds of skills shouldnât be necessary anymore in a time of peace, but clearly in r3 the need for it arose.
lelouch feels like he should distance himself from world affairs now that heâs completed his goals, which makes perfect sense, but theres very little reason beyond the fact that his character arc as lelouch vi britannia is over that he shouldnt take up the mantle again. zero is an anonymous figure. in a time of peace, thereâd be no reason to believe heâd ever really be unmasked, especially if heâs surrounded by trusted allies who know of the situation. suzaku doesnât need to really keep going as zero for any other reason besides âi dont want toâ on the part of lelouch.Â
and what does this mean for suzaku?? that theres always going to be a possibility or chance that should he or nunnally be in danger or incapable of going forward with the plan of peace, lelouch will step in. he likely will not, given his response at the end of r3, but he possibly could. and as much as suzaku puts stock into lelouchâs convictions, that little, minuscule possibility lessens his burden as zero significantly, and therefore, negates the whole purpose of his existence as zero. heâs there to atone, and he canât do it while knowing lelouch is alive.

I hope you feel better! I don't get sick often but it always knocks me out when i do catch soemthing. do you have any meta for code geass you haven't written up yet?
Thank you! Iâm feeling much better now and Iâve got my fingers crossed that I can get through the rest of the winter without catching anything else.
As for Code Geass meta⌠woo yeah. Thereâs a lot of subtleties in the canon that the more bombastic action covers up. My top three favourites are:
1. Having a Geass Power causes changes in brain chemistry that are inheritable traits, and it gives the children of a Geass holder a bit of an edge over baseline people when it comes to intelligence-linked skills. Thus all the children of the Brittanian Royal family have their loyal followers and frankly ridiculous charisma scores leading to Cults of Personality for all of them. Because they were born with a subconscious link to the World of C and that makes it easier for them to sway people to seeing things from their point of view. Even Clovis, arguably one of the dumbest of Charlesâ kids was a PR and social networking genius. Part of that is down to their training as rulers and the veneration culture built into Britannia, but the fact that every single one of Charlesâ kids can pull that off is suspicious.
2. The driving personality characteristic for every single member of the Britanian Royal Family is love. Even the antagonists like VV and Schnizel are driven by their love of something. A person, an ideal, a philosophy, a place⌠it doesnât matter what or who it is, a Royal Britannianâs impetus to take action can always be traced back to their Most Precious Thing. Itâs what makes them so chillingly relatable and terrifyingly determined. Never underestimate the power of love.
3. The only reason Zero Requiem had a hope in hell of working on a long-term basis is because the World of C had a brain-crush on Lelouch and he capitalized on it to imbed the desire for a âkinder gentler worldâ in the global consciousness.
listen listen liSTEN it's been nearly a decade and i still think about these questions??? all of Lelouch's actions were based on the 'ends justify means' outlook but all the conflict against him was also based on opposition to that?? on one hand i always think, was Lelouch right? but then also: did he NEED to be right?? he accepted that his actions would come off as self-serving but he had an objective that he never lost sight of, so what exactly are we judging??
HELLO FRIEND I AM PUTTING THE REST OF YOUR ASK AND MY (long-ass) ANSWER UNDER A CUT SO THERE WONâT BE ANY SPOILERS FOR ANYONE WHO WANTS TO WATCH CODE GEASS AND ALSO I WILL BE SHOUTING A LOT AND WHIPPING MY OPINIONS EVERYWHERE I HOPE YOU DONâT MIND
FOR ANYONE JUST STUMBLING INTO MY TUMBLR IF YOU WANT TO WATCH CODE GEASS DO NOT READ BELOW THIS LINE BECAUSE THERE ARE MASSIVE SPOILERS
and donât even get me started on Suzaku wtf I have so many issues with him but from a characterization POV he was brilliant??? the way they turned around the white-knight trope with him and the conflict between him and Lelouch was such an INTENSE thing throughout the series (though Iâm not sure how I feel about his relationship with Euphy but I always thought his attachment to her was less about actual love and more about seeing some sort of salvation in her)
Aaaand yes, I heard about the season 3. Though Iâm not sure what theyâre going to do with it lol. The fandom is so divided on that whole âIs Lelouch alive or dead? SHOULD he be alive or dead??â front. I always thought he was dead for sure, and his death was meaningful because it also came with a complete sacrifice of his character in the eyes of his people, so idk how theyâre going to reconcile that with a new season. (Sorry for blowing up your inbox. I couldnât resist!)
Dude itâs totally fine to blow up my inbox, itâs empty most of the time anyway and I love talking to other fans. I hope you donât mind a long answer because I have so many FEELINGS?!!!
1. LELOUCH, MAN. Was he right? Did he NEED to be right? Was he right? UNLESS HE DID SOMETHING TO ENSURE EVERLASTING PEACE IN THE TWO MONTHS BEFORE HE HAD HIMSELF ASSASSINATED, I DONâT THINK HE WAS RIGHT TO DO WHAT HE DID. AND HE NEEDED DESPERATELY TO BE RIGHT BECAUSE HIS WHOLE THING WAS, I HAVE TO KEEP GOING, I HAVE TO KEEP KILLING, I HAVE TO KEEP USING PEOPLE AS PAWNS BECAUSE IF I DONâT ACHIEVE THIS GOAL, THEN ALL THEIR SACRIFICES WILL AMOUNT TO NOTHING. AND HE JUST KEEPS THIS MINDSET THROUGHOUT THE ANIME, USING PEOPLE AND KILLING PEOPLE AND CLIMBING UP A MOUNT EVEREST OF BODIES JUST SO THAT HE CAN ACHIEVE A GOAL THAT IN THE END HE WOULDNâT BE ALIVE TO ENJOY.
I AM JUDGING HIM BECAUSE HE USED SO MANY PEOPLE EXACTLY LIKE PAWNS ON A CHESS PIECE, TRAMPLED OVER THEIR FREE WILL, ENSLAVED THEM, HAD THEMSELVES COMMIT FUCKING SUICIDE, EVEN THOUGH HE ACCUSED THE EMPEROR OF DOING SOMETHING SIMILAR. WAS IT BETTER FOR PEOPLE TO LIVE IN PEACE THROUGH THEIR COMMON HATRED OF A DICTATOR? WAS IT BETTER FOR PEOPLE TO LIVE IN FEAR OF DESTRUCTION, LIKE SCHNEIZEL WANTED TO DO WITH DAMOCLES?
On the one hand I think itâs better for people to be united, rather than living in constant fear. But in the end, all of the people who died for Lelouchâs goal â and it was HIS goal, because WHEN DID THE PEOPLE OF THE WORLD EVER ASK HIM TO GIVE THEM WORLD PEACE? EVEN HIS OWN SISTER NEVER ASKED HIM TO DO THAT AND HE WAS APPARENTLY DOING IT FOR HER â all of the people who died for his goal, all their sacrifices would be meaningless if the peace he wants is broken.Â
Now, he said he wanted to create a kinder world for Nunnally to live in (and isnât that selfish?). And maybe he did â maybe, just maybe, it will last her lifetime. But what if it doesnât? There will always be people who will use others for their own ends. Thatâs what keeping people as people, with free will, does, and Lelouch was totally willing to accept that (he killed his goddamn parents because of it). Say the world has like a decade or two of peace. How long will it take for some ambitious asshole to screw it up again and break the peace? They have Zero as a symbol, but in the end, will it be enough? If it isnât enough, then everyone will have died and been enslaved for nothing. Every single person Lelouch killed had a family, had people who loved them, had goals, they werenât just chess pieces (as Shirleyâs fatherâs death and Shirleyâs consequent breakdown brought home to him), and I think he understood that. But he had to keep playing them as chess pieces to achieve his goal. And if peace is broken, then like Lelouch said, their sacrifices will have been for nothing.
2. Suzaku man, I am SO FRUSTRATED with him. Like I thought he was a white knight in the beginning but it turns out he was suicidal and like you said, wanting salvation. He was so inconsistent. He said he wanted to change things the âright way,â but he supports a genocidal nation and throws himself into situations where he might be killed. HOW IS HE SUPPOSED TO CHANGE ANYTHING IF HE DIES??!Â
But in the end he finally changes his mind and does things Lelouchâs way and it strips off all of his âwhite knightâ image altogether. And he is finally honest. So I like that. The way he and Lelouch change as people, and the way they are both so fallible and human, are two of the reasons why I like the show so much.
Euphemia was my FAVORITE CHARACTER (because she was the only one who thought she could achieve peace, or some form of peace, WITHOUT MURDERING SCORES OF PEOPLE) and what Lelouch did to her, however inadvertently, will always break my heart. I think Suzaku did see her as a kind of salvation, and he did love her, but he didnât love her enough to live for her. He fucking needed Lelouch to mind control him to save himself. But he obviously loved her enough to throw away some of the ideals he was clinging to and become a more honest version of himself.
3. As for season 3, I think it goes back to some of my initial screaming points. Can peace between all people honestly last? How long will it take before someone or some group tries to amass power to themselves again? How long before we start tearing ourselves apart again, because we never seem to learn from history? Did Lelouch do anything to ensure lasting peace, to make all the lives he took worthwhile? (He better have, he was always scheming.) Does keeping Suzaku as Zero make a difference? What happens if people find out that Suzaku is Zero? Season 3 could address these issues.
If Lelouch is dead, it could show us what plans he had in mind to keep the peace going (like Lelouch still controlling things and playing people like chess from beyond the grave, I think that would be amazing). If heâs alive, he could come back and see what he did wrong and try to amend it, maybe with another mountain of bodies, lol.
His death was a great way to end the seriesâ tyrant dies, world peace! But even if the series ends, the story, the world, keeps going. Iâd be interested to know what happens in Lelouchâs new world, and I think the writers can pull it off and surprise us.
LOL this was a long-ass answer but as you can see I have a lot of feelings about this series XDDD;;;
Edit: You know what? I know what Season 3 is going to be about. The big reveal will be that Pizza Hut was controlling everything THE ENTIRE TIME.
tumblr fucked up and idk if it sent so now I have to type everything out again D:
fuck me, letâs see if I can get this right again.
This isnât a request, Iâve just had this idea banging around in the back of my head for the past few days and I need to tell someone about it.
Okay so.
Imagine this; Lelouch has just killed his parents and stopped the Ragnarok Connection. He steals the Britannian Throne on an international broadcast, subjugates the Nobles with geass, and prepares to deal with Schneizel, who has long since become incredibly predictable. With Suzaku and CC at his side, Zero Requiem seems just off the horizon. Heâs almost anxious to get things set on track.
HOWEVER! Just as Lelouch is getting ready to execute plans to cement his image as the horribly cruel, /completely insane/, yet eminently capable Demon Emperor⌠Earth is invaded by aliens who want to eliminate and/or enslave humanity as a whole.
Now, Lelouch is faced with a world he is effectively in charge of being threatened. Either he throws away (or at least delays) his plan for Nunallyâs peaceful world, or humanity is doomed.
Imagine a world where instead of the Demon Emperor, Lelouch becomes Humanityâs Savior, with Suzaku as its Champion. Imagine a world where Schneizel and Cornelia are forced to work with Lelouch or else they risk /everything/. Imagine a world where any nationâs political individuality ceases to be a priority when the human race is facing /utter annihilation/. Imagine a world where one of Lelouchâs most effective tools (geass) is neutralized by the alien race whose minds are just too foreign for a geass enforced by a human.
The alien race in question could be anything. MCUâs Asgard during Odin and Helaâs universal conquest? Steven Universeâs Gem Authority? Storm Troopers from Sidiousâ Empire? Frieza and his army from DBZ? An original race? Whoever it is, Lelouch and co. are in for a real challenge.
Code Geass is full of loveable characters and I just want to see them all working together. Also, I want to see what Lelouch, Suzaku, and CC are capable of when they /really/ try hard. *Sigh* The possibilities are fantastic to think about.
Oh my... yes this is lovely Iâll take a dozen thanks.
Hahaha, but more seriously this is certainly an awesome concept! Outside forces and a common enemy are a great way to veer canon away from the Requiem and having Lelouchâs brain turn towards destroying an enemy thatâs a threat to all of humanity is fantastic.
