“Yeah, that’s what I told him,” Lukas chuckled, phone in hand as he flipped through the menu. “Last thing I wanted was him on my ass about a few hundred going missing.” He paused, listening. “Where do you think? My account.” It wasn’t his usual expensive choice. He didn’t want to waste any sort of effort in a place like this. Though, if he was entertaining the idea, he certainly would’ve brought more than a few large bills. Really flaunt his wealth and tip whoever was going to serve him well. How he ended up there was a different story. Being the kind of guy he was, he could’ve easily gone to a nicer, upscale restaurant, but he’d come to this dive to blow off some steam. He was playing fair right now, but he didn’t know how long that would last. Without looking up, he snapped his fingers at a possible waitress passing by. “Could I get a cup of coffee to start? Heard somewhere you guys do it some justice here. Be snappy about it, too. Your tip depends on it.”
