honestly,i cant remember why i love the codfather so much. hes kinda been lurking in my brain since i watched empires way back when. it was my first introduction to solidaritygaming, and i think the codfather is just special to me because of that. i did start watching empires near the end of s1 iirc and in the time i bingewatched his season i just got. obsessed with the character and i didnt think that would happen

i think i what i like about him is that, how out of any fish jimmy couldve chosen [out of all the aquatic animals in mc], it was a cod, and made a pun out of the name from the godfather. like its such a serious name but no one ever really took jimmy seriously either. having a codhead just feels unserious and idk why that is, but i love him for it

another thing i like about the codfather is that, jimmy just does so well at playing a selfish character. to me, pre-ender dragon codfather was a character that would have stopped at nothing to get the codhead back, and once he got that taken away, he never realised that stopping the salmon genocide and instead make peace with 'the salmon king' was something that he had to do. i think i mentioned that part multiple times on my account already, but its just my favouriteeee part of jimmy. even if jimmy hadve found he could have the the codhead back but the rapture had happened anyway, i dont think he would have been satisfied, to me atleast that feels obvious if he found out

he also is a bit petty, if i do say. mostly talking about the wall thing he did with sausage since both wanted a taller wall than the other, and then realised that the walls were blocking a friendship, and made a hole in it so he could visit sausage whenever

the amount of GROWING you see in the codfather is excellent when you think about it. others might have a bunch of growing aswell, but only really the codfathers is coming to mind.

i like the implication that everyone, if not most people that live in the cod empire are fish people

i like how all of jimmys weapons are cod related

i like how he had the missing answer to his family tree the entire time but never realised it

i like how he became allies with lizzie before knowing they were siblings, it was like even if they never found out, they still became friends in one way or another

i like how the fandom puts him in new outfits

i like his original outfit, despite it just being a recolour. the colours on it are nice

i like how jimmy tried to be nice to everyone at the start, how it lead to a petty war, and then a bigger issue that kindve all tumbled down to being the reason xornoth was released

i like how his first reaction to escape xornoth was to go into the water, somewhere he probably feels safe in

i like how when he got the crown, he chose to let his children [cod] live in other empires

i like his character in general

there is so much i love about the codfather, and this probably isnt all of it. i love thinking of headcanons about him, reblogging art about him, and most importantly, i love how he was the reason i got into this fandom in the first place. he wasnt the first pov i ever watched, but im glad i was introduced to him.

i might be biased, but the codfather might be one of the best characters jimmy has ever played, and that is one of the reasons i love this character so much. he will forever and always be my favourite
