Well at first Hector (like Wybie) communicates exclusively through gestures and facial expressions. His writing is a little rusty since it’s been 90+ years since he’d tried. He doesn’t really write songs in this world since everything physical is made by the Beldam, who doesn’t let him have anything really. However, when he has the chance, he always picks up an instrument wherever he can find one.In fact, that’s how he gets Miguel’s attention in the first place. Miguel knew he was there, and sort of ignored him at first. But as he was exploring one night, he finds Hector on the roof of a building strumming a guitar. To the Beldam, it looks like Hector is helping to convince Miguel to stay. But he’s got other plans. Anyways, about the photo. Once Hector realizes who Miguel is, he gives Miguel a big hug and swings him around. Miguel is confused at first, but understands quickly as Hector points between himself and the man in the photo.
