This Christmas, cozy up with a mug of hot chocolate made with gingerbread. Infused with the holiday flavors of gingerbread, it's thick and creamy.
Ingredients: 4 cups milk. 1/4 cup cocoa powder. 1/4 cup brown sugar. 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon. 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger. 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg. 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves. 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract. Whipped cream optional. Gingerbread cookies for garnish optional.
Instructions: Get the milk hot in a saucepan over medium-low heat, but don't let it boil. Add the cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves, cocoa powder, and brown sugar and mix them all together with a whisk. Now take it off the heat and mix in the vanilla extract. Put the coffee into mugs and, if you want, top them with whipped cream. Add gingerbread cookies as a garnish before serving.
