Can I ask you where you watched the Autumn Classic International?
I watched it from Skate Canadaās official Dailymotion livestream. It was free, not region blocked, and great quality. They archive all their streams, so you can still watch it here:https://www.dailymotion.com/skatecanada/videosMenās SP, Menās FS, Ladiesā SP, Ladiesā FS, Pairs SP, Pairs FS, Ice Dance RD, Ice Dance FDThey also havethe same stream but with French/no commentary, the full practice footage of all the disciplines, some interviews, and the on-ice Menās Victory Ceremony. In addition to that, you can find allĀ of the past domestic and some international competitions held within Canada, so if you want to compare the last couple of ACI to this ACI, you can do that.Ā
Videos have been reuploaded to YouTube on various peopleās accounts, so if YouTube works better for you, or you want to watch specific skaterās performances, you can find them there too. These two accounts (1, 2) have uploaded I think all the videos in the English commentary version, in the same quality as the official Skate Canada account, and the Japanese TVAsahi version for Yuzuās performances. This account reuploaded the Yuzu videos with no commentary, and the Japanese TVAsahi version.I like the English commentary version because the commentator Ted Barton is amazing and we donāt deserve him, but the no commentary (technically itās the French commentary) version is good if you donāt want any talking.
Iām very glad people raise these points. Obviously, this is a concern when youāre recycling things to use in your garden, so I looked into it a little...
Tyres
Tyres, like many types of rubber, are treated with various chemicals during manufacture. The ones of most concern are plasticisers. These tend to mostly leach out in the first year or so ā theyāre what gives rubber that sharp, bitter smell when itās still new.

Safe to use Tyres in Gardens?
Growing food in tyres
Unfortunately, my only conclusion is that, without any proper research, it looks inconclusive. It seems like tyres should be safe enough to use, but I canāt say for certain. Best not to use them for growing food, Iād say. Better safe than sorry.
Theyāll still work nicely for growing flowers and non-edible plants, though.
Wooden Pallets
Yes, these can be contaminated, so be careful. The biggest concern is if theyāve been treated with any chemicals ā the worst of these chemicals are, to my knowledge, banned in the EU and no longer used in the US. Even so, here are some helpful links:
Is my wooden pallet safe to reuse?
How to Tell if a Pallet is Safe to Use in the Garden
Is my pallet safe for reuse?
To summarise, wooden pallets for international use have markings to show if theyāve been treated. The best are marked DB and are untreated. Markings ofĀ EPAL, KD, or HY are also fine. These are heat treatments which have no lasting effects.
Ones to avoid are any which are painted in bright colours, or marked EUR (treated but non-specific ā so it could be anything). If you find one marked MB, avoid it because that stuff is nasty.
If it has no markings, then it wasnāt intended for international use. These are mostly left untreated, but thereās no way to be sure, so use with caution.
I havenāt found so much about the collars, but Iām assuming the same rules apply.
I hope some of you find this useful!

Hi! I was wondering if you know who does the commentary in the JGP competitions on the official ISU youtube channel. I feel like I listened to him a thousand hours and I really like him. It would be nice to know at least is name.
His name is Ted Barton! He usually mentions it at the beginning and end of livestreams. Heās a Canadian skating official who got the ISU to start streaming the JGP in the first place, and in our opinion heās probably the best commentator that skating has. Heās always supportive, gives good insight and critiques, and doesnāt talk all the way through a program.

why not?
well ok the production team is REALLY BAD at being consistent about Victuuriās height difference (Which is fine, I know animating is hard and that there are more important things, but Iām just putting it out there; maybe they fixed it in the bluray, idk) and I donāt have the most SCIENTIFIC reasons for believing this but hereās basically why I think Viktor is AT LEAST four inches (10cm) taller than Yuuri
It usually shows Yuuri still being just Ā LIL BIT shorter than Viktor when heās in skates and Viktor isnāt. Maybe two centimeters/three-fourths of an inch.
The thing is--and I know this from figure skating myself--is that, with blades and the heel of your boot and depending on the size shoe you wear, figure skates add a good three and a half to four inches to your height. If weāre generous and say that Yuuriās skates only make him three inches/seven centimeters taller (Which is...unlikely, honestly, itās really probably gonna be more like a full ten cm/4 inches unless Yuuri his TINY FEET)Ā that would mean that he and Viktor would be of a height, Yuuriās skates would make up the difference. But they donāt. Thereās still just that sliver of height to be made up.
So yeah Iām relatively certain that Viktor is probs about 4 inches taller than Yuuri, 10cm. That would make Viktor an even six foot, or Yuuri 5ā²7ā²ā, which honestly makes more sense to me bc thatās the exact height difference between me and my dad and I was never quiteĀ eye level with him, I always had to look up just slightly, and thatās what I see Yuuri doing in most shots in the anime where theyāre on level footing.
But, like, obviously this is just me and what I think.Ā

There is also the number of rotations that I still canāt pinpoint for sure. Like I think this was a quad but Iām never 100% sure. Iām always like wait, was that a quad? But one other point that I forgot to mention is that I feel like if I take all my brain power to try (and fail) to identify the jumps, I just canāt enjoy the beautiful artistry of the person skating and thatās really important to me. So I only try to identify them in slow motion if Iām feeling so inclined
YES, that is exactly what happened to me when I tried to identify jumps during the GP and the European. My attention was simply not on the beauty of the routines anymore. By the time 4CC and Worlds rolled around, Iād given up on trying to do that.
