It's winter and I've finally worked up the courage to put in the sleeves for my winter coat. Including the inner pocket, that finishes up the lining which is now basted to the actual coat. Basting them together suddenly made it look like an actual coat, so I'm very pleased. I won't finish it before the new year, but I'll have a warm woollen coat before winter is over!
I've finally mustered up the courage to pick up my woollen winter coat again. (It's been... half a year) but I've finally basted the lining.
One advantage to getting scared of a project and putting it away for a season is that by now I've done so many waistcoat pockets that the inner pockets in the lining of this coat don't intimate me anymore.
Hopefully with this newfound optimism (and half a year more experience) I'll be able to finish this coat before I need it this winter!

Attaching the binding - on straight and slightly curved seams it’s easy enough to sandwich the fabric edge in the folded ribbon and machine stitch.
