Do you know what’s going on with the trial against Ackles and company?
The trial date is already set for January 12 next year.
There’s a hearing in August to review a motion to dismiss the case that was filed in April. An earlier motion from the same month was denied.
It looks like the August hearing will be the last one this year—after that, all that’s left is the trial.
It appears you know more than me. Bryan DeLorenzo wants his day in court and he'll likely get it. He claimed he wants his suit to force WB to permanently ensure higher standard of safety on the sets. Safety cuts is an industry wide problem, especially on independent and non-union films.
Since Jensen was named in the lawsuit I suspect DeLorenzo's attorney may use Jensen's police interview on the Rust tragedy to show pattern of behavior for disregarding crew's safety concerns. (X)
