I have always been a fan of “Color Runs” … I discovered about it here on tumblr when people from different parts of the world posted awesome and colorful photos with their hands up in the air throwing color powders and a blower that released massive amount of colors while they wore plain white shirts and basically just play with color powder as they ran. We all know at this is an idea that started from a festival in India, and people incorporated it with a healthy lifestyle, thus a color run. Recently Philippines has adapted to this new thing as we now know as COLOR MANILA that has been around the country celebrating funruns and they have Blacklight edition and a Nite run added to what they can offer. Fortunately it happened last May 24,2015 in Davao for the first time. Knowing that it is finally in Cebu and Davao, I immediately registered without any hesitation, it has been in the bucketlist of mine and my siblings. The registration costs 650Php but it is all worth it because they have alot of freebies: a drawstring bag, dri-fit shirt, medal and foldable shades plus many more after the run. 

The assembly time started at 4:30am followed by a zumba warm up and then Gun starts at 5:30am. You could choose between 3km, 6km and 10km runs and along the trail there are different color stations where people would throw color powder at you. Mind you this is not a race, thus you just run with your friends and have fun. And here is the starting point of the run.

We ran across 4 color stations namely Green, Blue, Purple and Yellow…

We reached the end of our run at 6km and made our way back to the center field.

After the run we are now on to the next part, the main event where it starts with a rave party and at exactly 7:15am we were on a countdown to the point where we throw our color packets filled with various colors. The result was an awesome experience of more party and more colors.
