Lucille twitched hearing the rustling in the grass next to the tree. She was half asleep in the hammock. Moving the book from her face she shifted to pull up a bit and sit more upright. Her brows furrowed as the glare scanned the unfamiliar face. The tool in the man’s hand could explain why he was in the park surrounding the mansion. But not exactly why he was so close to the capricious young heiress. “New gardener?” She mused rhetorically. “Go to the kitchen and bring me something to drink, water, I don’t know.” Lucille was used to the spoiled princess role and barely anyone witnessed her otherwise. She stared expectantly at the man mostly to check if he will follow her request.
