"Inside Out"

clipping. has released their first single off their official debut album entitled "Work Work." In a phrase, this new single is INFINITELY more accessible than their stellar 2013 release midcity. 

Infinitely more accessible isn't a bad thing by any means, but at least on this track, the harsh noise and buzzing electronics have been replaced by the rhythmic chiming of bells, a simple rumbling bass line, a compressed electronic snare, and a light synth melody on the chorus. The whole production is fantastic and really shows the range of Jonathan Snipes and William Hutson. It goes without saying that Daveed Diggs kills it, with his flow on this song mostly closely resembling midcity highlight "bout.that"

Towards the middle there's a feature from Cocc Pistol Cree (who I had previously never heard of) She sounds a lot like Nicki Minaj (which may not please everyone) regardless, she's a fine rapper and pops on the track for just the right amount of time.

According to the official lyric video, the full album titled CLPPNG is out June 10th from subpop.
