Clovis would say that networking was important, so yes, he would do his best to keep the friends he made during his time at Land Grant University. Plus, he wouldn't have had the opportunity to score points with Patience without the fraternity's backing as collective wingmen! However, if he wanted to get serious with her, he might have to dial back comms with Osric, on account of their whole family feud thing (even though the respective Capp heiress and Monty heir were super chill around each other). Bummer.

Speaking of that particular family feud, Sunny felt right in the middle of it. His dad married Tybalt Capp and his mum just married Mercutio Monty, so he could call both gentlemen his stepdads (Oz was rapt to have a bro and a stepbro!). Yes, Sunny wanted the frat spirit to live on for life, but he wanted to feel at home in his circle of friends and family, not floating between the two. It didn't help that rumours swirled of Tybalt and Mercutio being secretly in love. Sunny couldn't speak to that and for goodness sake, he didn't want to! Why couldn't everyone just chill out and get along? Oz could clearly manage it; the guy was never not grinning.

It was easy to embrace hedonistic excellence when the house was a mansion, the pool and hot tub were maintained, and piping hot pizzas were pretty much donated to the door. Everyone wanted a piece of the party, without realising just how much went into keeping the solo cups filled. Maybe later on in life, when the same amount of alcohol that once served as fuel started to make one's tummy hurt just a bit too much to grin and bear, the attendees would realise just how good they had it.

Maybe. Frankly, Patience was running low on patience for the current crop of plebs. They acted like they'd never attended a gathering in their lives (the tossing of cups to the ground alone)! And of, course, they really hadn't - not like the grand evenings she'd been attending with the Capp conglomerate since she was a little dot in a lacy dress.

Oh, but how she be so uncharitable? Lilita and Vespera had humble beginnings but were vouched for by uncle Tybalt as fine women via his close friendship with their artist mother, Delilah formerly O'Feefe. They had a combination of street smarts and sleek style that Patience could never have (and she rightfully believed she could have just about anything in life, with no reason to believe otherwise). They were worthy, lovely lifelong sisters, though not without their quibbles. Some of the people they summoned to the house were more sociably suited than others. Then their clashing over the same gentleman... exclusivity be damned, there was (apparently) a time-honoured twin code!

In deference to her family, Patience pretended not to see Lilita cosying up to Monty heir Osric in the hot tub. She could not bring herself to be enemies with him, but very soon, being seen in the same room would be a surefire way to fire up the gossip rags again. If her dear sorority sister chose to be by his side for life, well... uncle Tybalt would certainly, fiercely, retract his vouching.

The following names were called out at graduation (some somewhat incredulously): Aster Greenman, Cliff Notes, Hi Thyme, and Hugh Knowe. Before the group left en masse to crash at one of Hi's dad's investment properties in Riverblossom Hills, Hi made sure to get at least one fresh pledge on board. Clovis Point was going to fit right in with Cian and Sunny, who had learned from the masters of hedonism in a balancing act with studying every so often.

The Capp lifestyle wasn't for everyone, so it was important for prospective partners to see it first-hand, with their reaction being judged on a sliding scale of sociability. In the case of Clovis Point, he indeed had points for being one of the most well-groomed students Juliette had ever seen. His hair wafted around his head in cream puff layers; the only flat thing about him was the freshly pressed look of his button-up shirt, which was white as snow that had just touched down on the hills (not that climate change allowed for such marvels these days). Yes, perhaps he had potential.

All signs pointed to the future now that Regan was gone. It was terribly sad, don't get Juliette wrong - she didn't like seeing her once razor-sharp aunt being sucked into the improbable promises of a quack doctor to the stars, proclaiming immortality was possible, only to simply pass away in her sleep that night. But with the vanishing of the last of the old guard, nobody was left to make plays for power anymore. Just Juliette, and the loyal clan she'd gathered around her.

Tina was once such clan member, being dear to Juliette as her sister (they'd spiritually dropped the 'step-' part a long time ago). She was stunning as ever in elderhood, and a delight to have around the home with her down-to-earth sensibilities. She was a fantastic partner for cousin Nathaniel, too, and her son Teddy took to wearing crisp shirts and blazers quite well - the very picture of a Capp gentleman.

Of course, even the most well-groomed young man still has a chance of being turned down by a woman he fancies. Teddy bemoaned his lack of 'rizz' after Effie Sharpe declined his dinner invitation; Juliette clapped him on the shoulder and said, just between the two of them, he could do better.
