More Black clover x demon slayer au, this time with the magic knight captains as the hashira!
It took embarrassingly long to draw this and half that time was spent trying to come up with designs. rant about au under cut:
William's design doesn't have every colour in existence on it like in canon i'm sorry i have my limits. i love how you can tell i spent the most time thinking about dorothy and william's designs
Anyway here are the roles:
Yami - Shadow hashira; his tsuguko is nacht but they dont have the usual mentor student dynamic, being the same age + partners. Shadow breathing is derived from idk (i wanna say moon but yk). He found Asta and Liebe in this au and takes the role of giyuu in the trail (with everyone SO ready to execute yami along with asta and liebe)
William - Earth hashira; he trains yuno occasionally but he is not his tsuguko. Earth breathing (maybe tree idk) is derived from stone breathing. He has empathy towards the demons and believes that they can coexist, which may or may not be related to the fact that he is harbouring an upper moon in his mansion. Sides with asta and liebe during the trial.
Dorothy (<3) - Dream hashira; her tsuguko used to be rill before he became a hashira 3 months after being taken in by dorothy. Dream breathing is similar to mist breathing and derived from water breathing. She slept through the meeting so did not pick a side in the trial.
Fuegoleon - Flame hashira; tsuguko is leo but he is struggling a bit. Not on asta and liebe's side at first (think rengoku but less loud and more calm).
Charlotte - Flower hashira; tsuguko is mimosa. Not on asta and liebe's side at first
Rill - Art hashira; used to be dorothy's tsuguko before becoming a hashira, has no student of his own yet. Art breathing is a combo of flame and dream. On asta and liebe's side in the mitsuri way if that makes sense. He waits for julius to come and give the decision.
Jack - Wind hashira; used to be Kaisers tsuguko before becoming a hashira (kaiser is retired), has no student of his own since his training is hell. SO ready to kill asta, liebe and yami (doesnt even care about the corps laws)
Nozel - Water hashira; doesnt have a tsuguko. Immediately says to execute asta, liebe and yami and still holds suspicion after the trial.
Julius is the master, kaiser is the retired wind hashira and mereleona isnt even in the corps but hunts demons for love of the game anyways.

Clover slayers Asta, Yuno and Liebe redrawn as the first Kny poster! Yapping undercut:
Idk if i've mentioned it before but Asta's haori pattern is Tatewaku which is like a river stream. I chose it because it can represent overcoming situations, but Asta wouldn't have been able to afford this. It was just a fabric him and liebe had around them as babies.
Yuno's pattern is yagasuri, basically like arrows/bird feathers on the end of arrows. Not only does the bird feathers fit with his wind/eagle theming, but the arrows are something he uses in his spells too. He has blue on him simply because he needs to look atleast somewhat related to Asta, since their looks arent doing that.
Liebe's pattern is shippo, which represents harmony and good relations (Harmony bc Liebe is the first demon who can resist his urges, one step closer to harmony with demons). I mostly chose it because it looks like a star pattern like his eyes and patterns in devil union. His hair used to look exactly like asta's hair, but when he became a demon it turned more white. The edges are it's original colour, though it's hard to tell.
Yuno using that rusty ass axe to attack yami, bro the shadow hashira needs to worry not about the demon brother but about getting tetanus.
Light triad in bc x kny au. Gonna do all the bulls (yuno is here because i cant draw asta and noelle without him, they should not be separated). More about designs under cut:
Noelle should be wearing more silver just imagine it. Her haori has bird patterns on it because her canon outfit is like a dove. ill probably try give her a pattern with more meaning later but i want it to either relate to birds, dragons or waves.
Asta wears the uniform like that because of Magna's influence (Love asta and magna dynamic). His haori has the tatewaku pattern on it, i didnt do much actual research but i think it was a bit expensive so in reality i dont think he would have this just ignore that. it means something like upward movement and growth, which i felt fit him. Maybe it was something like a gift left with him, like with yuno's expensive necklace. i chose this mostly for the design/meaning.
Liebe aint here but ill talk about him, he wears a haori with like a shippo pattern on it. I chose this because it looks like stars (like asta's pupils in DU and like his one shot last name staria). I think it means something like connection/harmony but i also saw happy ending in there? idk but this choice was mostly for the aesthetic.
Yuno i was just too lazy to figure out, he wears the standardised uniform and is just holding his haori which was a gift to him by William (who chose him as a tsuguko). Idk maybe theres trees/nature on it??

Sketch of the light triad and their weird ass demon companion in my bc x kny au (just them in uniform, i was too lazy to draw their clothes/haoris on top of it). Im finally free from most of my work so i can draw !!
The final 5 in my bc x kny au!! I have made the decision that these 5 will also have the 5 heightened senses like the og final 5! Rambling about au under cut:
For their heightened senses:
Asta: Taste (hes eating demons in this au i think it fits)
Yuno: Sight (With his eagle spells in og bc it fits trust)
Noelle: Hearing (In og bc other people's words she overhears seem to haunt her in the early stages)
Mimosa: Smell (Smelling the flowers idfk)
Leopold: Touch (he just gives me the vibe yk)
Yuno and Asta stuck together most of the 7 days but got separated on the last 2. Yuno got to the end first and just lingered by the entrance watching it till asta came.
Noelle survived half because of luck and half because of sheer willpower. Her and asta were together for the final 2 days (equivalent to noelles intro ep to bc happens here i think)
Mimosa and Yuno had the least injuries. Yuno because hes yuno, and mimosa because shes talented too but mostly because she uses flower breathing which is more about evasion which leaves her cleaner.
Leo brute forced the entire thing despite not knowing all the forms to flame breathing. Asta was eating bits of demons throughout the 7 days (not much since his physical strenght and yuno there most of the days were enough to survive. He used his demon eating ability more in those last two days)

Asta would be like genya in that he cant use breathing techniques but he can eat demons to gain their traits, i think thats the best equivalent. Liebe would lend his power often to asta
In this, the church kids + Orsi and sister lily just die straight up, sorry somebody has to take the role of kamado family. Yuno and Asta were the ones who werent there for the attack while liebe is taking nezuko's role.
Also yami takes the place of giyuu, he's the one who finds asta and liebe (and yuno, who is also in this scene but i didnt draw him. He's probably behind some tree tryna figure out how to get them away from the guy with a katana).
I am very conflicted on what to do for yami's backstory because i wanna make it similar to his og backstory but. he's not a foreigner since they're in japan, so idk, maybe its not apart of his backstory in this au
Yami: Shadow hashira
Asta: No breathing forms, only eating demons and working out
Liebe: Anti-blood demon art or smth
Yuno: Wind breathing
