Fujiko Nakaya fills the Bourse de Commerce with weather
In the Rotonde of the Bourse de Commerce in Paris, a cloud appears. It sits low, dense, white, between the concrete walls that Tadao Ando inserted into a nineteenth-century grain exchange and the panoramic fresco that still wraps the dome above. Fujiko Nakaya made it. She has been making clouds since 1970, when she produced her first fog sculpture for the Pepsi Pavilion at the Osaka World Exposition.
