#cloud eggs

"Stormy" Dabbling with Cloud Eggs, One Extra Crispy.

(Krita, Wet Circle and Smooth Chalk default brushes, 10 colors and 12 colors respectively, 45 minutes to 1 hour) I am coming to the conclusion that my usual rendering style makes cloud eggs too shiny if I'm not doing direct color matching which makes them hard to freehand. Even trying to add matte texture with the chalk brush doesn't quite do it. My first attempt the other year was more matte, but not crispy, the one I did the other day was crispy, but partially traced. This freehand attempt is too shiny. Clearly I need to do some textural studies and closeups and give it another go a different day. Same with the egg yolk. It is supposed to look like rain, but it's too thin and drippy. Needs to be more globby and thicc. I'll give it another go when I have a fresh head and a good reference.

Not my favorite result, but hey. That's part of learning.

Italian cloud eggs!

 A good source of protein with very healthy unsaturated fat. 

Wonderful looking and healthy option for the most important meal of the day.
