I am sure they would have known Modest would retaliate, and since all we've seen are old recipes I think they would even have been able to predict the specifics. It must be that either Modest is bluffing (and we'll see much less of Eleanor than is suggested now) or that Louis doesn't care that much as long as he spends most of his time with Harry in Harry's two favorite places: the stage and bed. Honestly, what are they going to do to him? Make him pose for pictures with Eleanor, where he's only going to make it abundantly clear that he does not want to be there? That would be Modest shooting themselves in the foot. You know, when a battle of narratives unfolds, the question is which narrative will collapse when the truth comes out. Modest can only loose in the end - because they are spinning a narrative for short term gain, while the boys are trying to construct one that's truthful and which will gain a long term following. It's clear who will draw the longest end in this. Question is how many more rounds to get to that point?
