frankly this is the only responsible choice. i always figured bernie would never win the election because he's too much a person, not enough of a politician; he gives too much of a shit >_> idk why it's so hard for people to understand that voting is a responsibility and you still have to do it even when your #1 fave isn't in the running. i've been prepared to vote for biden since the beginning, despite not liking him at all...

i was actually surprised to find that there’s a bit in iron man vol 1 where tony and bruce are pretty friendly! it doesn’t last long and only occurs because tony finds bruce in the middle of some hulk wreckage and recognizes his suicidality, takes him home, and spends a few days trying to find a way to help him suppress the hulk, but those couple of issues were amazing.

i also have never seen a healthy beagle in person. idk if they’re just prone to overeating or if they just appeal to the type of people who won’t bother to regulate their diets? my grandma’s beagle had a whole collection of weight related problems :/ sigh

Ohhhh, that’s a super cool theory about extremis! That would be amazing and complex in its own regard because, instead of using it when he was dying (like in the comic), it would be purely as a way to “improve” his body. That’s interesting! In a way, it borrows a bit from Fraction’s Iron Man with borrowing tech from Pepper to improve himself.

I love Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. It always goes on my list of favorite films. It’s got a dark sense of humor and it isn’t a big blockbuster by any means but I loved the vibe in that film so so much. I really loved Robert’s portrayal in the film. It was before he portrayed a lot of the brilliant, cocky genius types (usually with a heart of gold). Instead, he was more of the bumbling guy that meant well but everything seemed to go wrong for him. Honestly, I rewatch that film and imagine Michelle Monaghan as Pepper Potts. Not because I don’t like what we got but because RDJ’s chemistry with her was wonderful. So, if you like dark humor, you might like it. It got quite violent and there are mentions of sexual assault in it, just forwarning you.

i see him as an only child for some reason? though if he has siblings, i see it being one brother and one he’s not particularly close to

i just don’t see him being close to his family period? considering that family/parent relationships are so important to the other two main characters in chess and there is literally no mention of his birth family unless we’re talking a version where he’s mentioned as having nephews (because I think that’s a thing in the broadway version? that they’re his nephews instead of his kids?)

not entirely related but i also headcanon that maybe he isn’t actually from russia proper - that he came from a different part of the ussr and they just tried to rebrand him as russian to fit the party line. this could explain distance from his family - maybe he hasn’t seen them in a really long time because he was separated from them

because i think molokov or someone else showed up to take him under their wings early. this is totally informed by groban!anatoly because i see anatoly being younger, but i think it’s totally possible that he was taken to moscow and trained when his chess skills became really obvious

i absolutely think it was a shotgun marriage. it would explain a lot about them. i think they were both young and a little careless because they were ~in love~ and when she ended up pregnant they had to marry to protect anatoly’s image. i think that even though he loves his children he’s a little resentful because of that because i don’t think married life suits him

i also don’t think florence is the first time he’s been unfaithful to svetlana (i don’t remember if this is 100% canon or i just made it up, though). with all the traveling and such, it was probably easy to find women who were willing to go to bed with him with no strings attached and i’m sure his team would have covered that up to maintain the image of their poster child - though obviously they couldn’t do that anymore when he ran off with florence
