okay, I haven't succeeded in beating all the multiplayer levels in Pokémon Rangers Guardian Signs, but I DO have a headcanon I think is pretty dope.
Every island has a legend about the Hero of Oblivia with its own children's song, and we the player reignite those legends with our escapades. (I'm playing through it again and have only just gotten Entei bear with me)
Celebi frequently brings us back in time (for multiplayer missions) and there's something going on with the temples and bad guys and oh noes
so hear me out
what if- its a mini-time loop
What if the Player Character is the OG Hero of Oblivia?
Celebi takes them back in time to solve the problems of the past, befriending Raikou, Suicune, and Entei while they're there, spawning the legends, and then in the future they do it again?
Despite my hatred of the time travel trope, when its executed like this in a closed loop, I love it! It would be so cool! And the only person who knows it would be the Player Character at the end of the game!
I just think that'd be a dope twist. It's so perfectly set up because everyone comments on how alike the Hero of Oblivia the Player Character is so I just-
good stuff good stuff
