People still worship Isis in veiled basements?
Huntington Castle of Clonegal, Carlow - is a quaint little structure overtaken by nature in the south-east of Ireland. Built sometime in around 1675 upon an earlier site, it has all the hallmarks of an unassuming Irish historical site.
But Huntington Castle has a very exotic side to it - it is the centre of the 'Fellowship of Isis', an international group founded in the basements of the castle in 1976 that has kept the castle alive. They hold services, a mish-mash of New Age interpretations of a mother goddess, interjected with the concept of Isis as the womanly centre of all faiths.
