Yeah! That totally makes sense, the room buried in the darkness. And yes, they're in Cosima's style, they make a unique atmosphere that you can easily connect to her character. Also the plant thing! I noticed they moved it to a brighter place, man, it was on the darkest corner of the room, poor plant.

The reading list IS! That’s where CCBC started actually. Our master reading list was there, real Cosima loved it, contacted us, yadda yadda, and the rest is history.
The reading list is on Goodreads and being regularly updated when we get new suggestions on CCBC. We don’t discuss there though. The discussions are on CCBC, it’s much better for that. It’s better for most everything! The reading list on CCBC is also alphabetical, you can see what most of us are reading currently, and see which books were directly referenced in-show (thanks clonecept). It’s here.

I loved The Sylvia actually, definitely a cool old place -- save for the elevator that always stops on the third floor when going up for no apparent reason. That was a little too "tower of terror" for my liking. We did have a nice view of English Bay though, so that was worth the sketchy elevator.

Well I'm back to Alberta now -- we flew out this afternoon unfortunately. I was staying at the Sylvia down on English Bay though, right off of Denman street actually.
It was my first time really being in Vancouver, and I must say, you have quite a lovely city! I spent a few hours yesterday walking up Robson and through the West End, and it was fabulous.
