Asgard suits him.
If there is one thing these last tumultuous years and the months of exile have taught him undeniably, it is that this place -- these lofty ceilings and gilt floors inlaid with their intricate knotwork, airy carven stone and curtains shifting in the wind from the sea, sweeping petals in the spring and the sweet fragrance of early summer leaves into these high halls -- is more home to him than any other ground his feet have touched.Ā
He stands out against the pale stone walls and silken curtains in his mourning sable tunic (even now, a year and a half past the death of his mother, he has not cast off that sorrowful mantle), but pads catlike and silent from pillar to pillar, pensive, lost in thought, and apparently so keenly unaware of his surroundings that his feet appear to bring him whither they will.Ā
The illusion of obliviousness shatters, however, as he perceives the second presence. And the ice in the raven-haired Tricksterās scowl melts like hoarfrost in the sun as his gaze alights on his cousin, and he stills, poised almost on the balls of his feet, prepared to fight, flee, or foster friendship -- all reactions hinging on that of Everan.
āCousin,ā he says, voice as crisp and steady as water in a basin on the cusp of cracking.Ā
āEveran. Well met.ā

Sleepover || Adrian, Pip and Vee

"Pip?! You here?"
It didn't matter that Vee had put up such a fit about Adrian wanting to bring him home for the night -- he was still being dragged back for at least a one-night-long slumber party with him and Pip. Since leaving home, he'd only had a few people for overnight company, but this was completely different. He'd never had an actual sleepover before.
"Why didn't you tell me you had a brother?" He called to the rest of the room before opting to take off his shoes and coat. "Vee isn't such a bad guy, you know... I met him! And... Brought him home! I'll even order pizza later and have it delivered."
The dorm room wasn't very big; not much more than a bedroom, closet space, a mini-fridge and a bathroom... but it was home. Hopefully it wasn't too disappointing - Adrian still hadn't gotten any details on Vee's previous person, but he promised himself to make their night together as good as any other party that could have been thrown for them. It was a time for all of them to just relax and have an easy night anyway.
