i havent like completely developd it yet but in my au I have cliff and peace in like a band but then I had an oc that was supposed to be younger that they accidentally adopt but instead I changed her lore so it was too late when I realized she's now like eight years older than them so there's just gay couple and supportive ace older adult with a plethora of unsolved problems

Now I'm not saying I would but I if I were to write for this little Dragonet who I honestly can't decide if I like or hate. Because there is fanfiction potential but the moment in the books where he comes into existence literally disgusted me so much I had to stop reading and didn't finish the book until the next day. Gah. But I do think there is some interesting potential for writing him so this is what I would do personally.

He does start out as what the spell forced him to be. A cute Rainwing hybrid obsessed with strawberries.

However in Perils book we are shown that dragons with a strong personality would be able to break through the enchantment.

The first sign of this is when one day he decides he wants more than strawberries and stops with the obsession. To put it simply he becomes sick of strawberries and pretty much stops eating them all together.

He does grow to have a crush on the blacksmiths daughter but grows out of it on his own. This freaks Moon out since she had her vision of them marrying and yada yada yada.

She continues to try and push them together which causes him to be frustrated and refuse to be around his former crush

Which is a shame because she is actually very nice.

He does end up going to the academy and actually ends up dating a certain Skywing prince.

This freaks all of the Jade Winglet who knows about the spell on him since he is already breaking so much of what Moon had seen him do in her vision.

The song he was supposed to write never reached beyond a short little rhyme he had made up as a young Dragonet.

Instead of hunting for strawberries he prefers to hunt for wolves and other beasts and pretty much stops eating most fruit altogether which really freaks Kinkajou out.

Foeslayer/Hope isn't sure how to feel about all of this since she herself wasn't involved in the spell cast on her son and honestly isn't too sad that he is becoming a much happier version of Darkstalker than the one she had raised. She's also happy that he never asks questions about his father.

Altogether though Peacemaker is just happy with Cliff. They make each other happy and honestly he's just upset that his friends he's known since childhood don't seem to be happy for him.

Cliff is also hurt by this since he had remained close to Peril and had been excited to get to know the rest of her Winglet but instead they seen upset about him dating Peacemaker which hardly seems fair.

Peacemaker stops actively seeking them out and instead focuses on becoming closer to his new Winglet who all seem nothing but happy for him and Cliff.

Qibli is the only one who doesn't seem to mind the changes that happened with Peacemaker. He points out that the important part is that he doesn't remember his past which he isn't obviously. He just decided strawberries wasn't for him, which honestly was an odd thing to put in the spell Kinkajou, and decided he preferred meet. And there was nothing in the spell about marrying the blacksmiths daughter. That was only the most probable outcome and honestly he think Peacemaker and Cliff are adorable together.

Winter and Peril are the only two who was never allowed to know about Darkstalker and they don't understand what the problem is.

Peacemaker doesn't give two cruds about what they think about him and continues to be with Cliff who honestly just makes him happy.

This is just a small section of what I would do with the character. Where his former personality would break through and he wouldn't follow his "bright and happy" future that Moon foresaw for him. Honestly that was one of the freakiest parts for me.

Plus after seeing a post for Cliff and Peacemaker I have decided I really like that couple. But what was even more interesting would be the idea that Moon would freak out because that's not who I foresaw you with. Since when were you gay?!

Just some rough character profiles for my Peacemaker AU. You probably want to see the post preceding this one before reading this one. Some characters may seem a little ooc as well as a couple of ocs(?) Towards the end. Also I type a majority of my posts on mobile so be advised it might get messy. Haha.

Name:  Peacemaker

Character Summary: The product of a spell placed on the feared King Darkstalker. He is of course not aware of his origins and is only aware that he is a nightwing/rainwing hybrid. In the first year and a half of his life he had an odd obsession with strawberries that he did eventually grow out of although for some reason this freaked out Kinkajou and Moon. He also developed a crush on his friend Battlekeeper but he eventually grew out of that as well which obviously shook Moon up who continued to try and set them up leading him to avoid both of them as much as possible. Currently he is dating Prince Cliff of the Skywings and no matter what he refuses to allow anyone to ruin his new relationship.

Name: Prince Cliff of the Skywings

Character Summary: The only dragonet of Queen Ruby Cliff is somewhat spoiled and arrogant but is surprisingly sweet when it comes to those he cares about. He was quickly attracted to Peacemaker due to his hunting and flying skills and eventually does ask him out on a date which lead to them dating fairly quickly. He was very disappointed and hurt when Moon and Kinkajou show concerns for them dating as he had been looking forward to meeting them after hearing about them from Peril. Instead of this discouraging him it actually only made him even more determined to make things work with Peacemaker and gain all of his loved ones approval.

Name: Hope (formerly Foeslayer)

Character Summary: The mother of Peacemaker (aka Darkstalker) who has been trying to raise her son peacefully in the rainforest. While she has had the occasional concern when Peacemaker shows similarities to Darkstalker ultimately she has few worries and it helps soothe the guilt for what she did to her son. She constantly tells Moon and Kinkajou that worrying will only make things worse she hasn’t done too much to dissuade them.

Name: Moonwatcher

Character Summary: a member of the original Jade Winglet. Moonwatcher is one of the few who knows the fate of Darkstalker. Over the years she has tried to keep an eye on Peacemaker to make sure her vision of his bright and happy future comes true. However, due to various events throughout the young dragonets life certain aspects have been changed. This has stressed Moon out and has caused damage to her relationship with Peacemaker.

Name: Kinkajou

Character Summary: A member of the original Jade Winglet. Kinkajou is the one who had written the original spell on Darkstalker that led to the creation of Peacemaker. Similar to Moon she has kept an eye on the young hybrid throughout his short life. She has also been disturbed by certain developments with the hybrid and her own relationship with him has grown tense over the years.

Name: Qibli

Character Summary: A member of the original Jade Winglet. Qibli is also aware of the fate of Darkstalker. He has been dating Moonwatcher for past five years but their relationship has grown strained and tense as time has gone by. She has been consumed with her vision of Peacemaker and they rarely spend anytime with one another. He still wants to try and make things work but its dimming more and more as time goes by. Luckily he has been reunited face to face with a certain ex prince friend of his and maybe just maybe his own future has gotten a little bit brighter.

Name: Winter

Character Summary: A member of the original Jade Winglet. A former prince of the Icewings Winter has spent the last five years building a thriving scavenger sanctuary. He had had a crush on Moon when he was younger but has since grown out of it and has even dated a few times although none of them lasted for long or were that serious. He is excited to be teaching a course on scavengers at Jade Mountain and while it is awkward to see his former winglet he is still excited to see them. He particularly glad to see Qibli who looks a little worse for wear. And what is going on with Moon and Kinkajou?

Name: Battlekeeper

Character Summary:The daughter of the tribes blacksmith, Bladeshaper, at only a little over a year and a half she has already shown talent and interest in her fathers work. She develops a crush on the sweet strawberry obsessed Peacemaker much to the amusement of her peers. Peacemaker also develops a crush on her in turn but eventually grows out of it. They grow apart as they grow older. Mostly due to Peacemaker avoiding her after getting annoyed with Moons and Kinkajous efforts to get them together. They eventually rekindle their relationship when they got Jade academy although at this point Peacemaker has started the process of dating a certain prince of the skywings. She still remains a friend of his though.

Name: Blitzclaws (Thank you @scavengerwing)

Character Summary: This is supposed to be the dragonet from Winter Turning that has severe PTSD after the volcano. He and Peacemaker met and instantly clicked. Blitzclaws admiring the carefree way in which Peacemaker would conduct himself. He never scolds him for not acting like a proper Nightwing and instead just seems glad to have him around. He’s one of dragonets who is invited to JMA and is more than happy when Peacemaker starts his relationship with Cliff although he does worry that the prince isn’t good enough for his best friend but whatever makes Peacemaker happy makes him happy.

Name: Silentwing

Character Summary: A loudmouthed and obnoxious dragonet, Silentwing does not live up to his name in the slightest. He is a bit of a bully and would try and pick on Peacemaker whenever he thought he could get away with it. Luckily for Peacemaker he was never taken all that seriously by the other dragonets and he does eventually grow out of this obnoxious behavior.

Okay so in this fic the 'antagonists' are Moon and Kinkajou. Now take that with a pinch of salt. I do not hate these characters but the end of DoD showed a very dark side of them and how far they can go. Kinkajou in particular was a little sadistic. (I'm sorry changing a dragon so completely including their actual race because it will "do them some good" is not good at ALL. Actually I'm pretty sure that pretty racist. So good job Kinkajou. 10/10 best idea ever.) So I've kind of taken this to the extreme here take that as you will. I will try avoiding bashing characters but I will be portraying them as slightly unhinged from their past experiences.
