boy had been abducted and thrown at ishtar once her elf's mind had finally caught up with the terrifying prospect of being stuck with a hellish child ; he had been slow on the uptake, as he often is when anger blurrs his judgement. therefore ishtar is not particularly surprised once she is offered the "opportunity" to take care of the human while caranthir runs away from the problem he created. not surprised, but not necessarily delighted either : she has never had the responsability to make sure a child does not run away into the wild before. which is why, perhaps, when he asks for a sword, she contemplates the thought of giving it to him __ pros & cons of such a gift. not witnessing any deadly inconvenience in their immediate future, it is some hours later that she comes at his door with a floating trunk behind her. knocking three times on the closed door of his elegant prison, she finally opens the lock with a movement of the wrist.
« i come bearing gifts. » his presence is barely acknowledged ; desinterest a priori similar to the one you would have entering any other door ; proof that ishtar does not fear for any retaliation on her person, or more accurately, that she fears no harm. serene confidence of the one who predicts & forecasts, effortless power buzzing at her fingertips. « they are ... cursed, » sheepish smile as the door closes behind her & the coffer falls on the floor with a thump. « but presumably harmless. » the lid opens itself after a quick word from the sorceress, spell in elder speech barely audible as she gestures for him to approach. inside, three or four swords from various sizes and designs ; all of them ornemented with different gems.
