Being a gang member is traditionally not apart of someone’s life plans. Hyuna never expected to go down this route, but there was no turning back now. Fully indoctrinated into the gang life, she was another problem on the MPD’s hands at this point. She didn’t regret it in the slightest, however. On Myeongcho, it seemed more beneficial to be apart of one than a normal civilian in her eyes. It was just a matter of joining the winning team. And what team was better than being a member of the group that embodied female excellence?
She was never someone who needed a large group of supporters to do what she wanted-hell, she expected the same from most of her fellow members-but it definitely made life easier. There was always a girl who could handle a job someone else needed to be done. The technologically adept one to look into people’s bank accounts. The girl who was sticky-fingered and able to get away with it like it was nothing. The fearless one who wasn’t afraid to go into the heart of the battle. Hyuna knew a girl who could pick up the slack in every situation and she preferred it that way.
It always became prevalent to her how many girls were apart of the organization whenever she walked through the Lady Fortune Casino. She didn’t have to know them all by name, but it was easy to pick out the ones who were affiliated. They, herself included, always had an air of confidence around them when they were inside. Who could blame them, it was a safe spot in the city where no one dare tests them or any woman in the building for that matter. She could waltz through one of the employees only doors without a single question thrown in her direction.
The back of the casino still had that same high class feel like the front, but anyone could tell that there was illegal activity running through it as well. Hyuna was one of the girls who worked from home primarily, but she still liked coming in from time to time to see if she could offer her help somewhere. A little information could go a long way sometimes. Additionally, the amazing buffet food was always available to them to take. She may or may not have come a couple times with Tupperware in her bag, but someone judging her was the last thought in her mind.Â
As she made her way through the back though, she noticed nicely packaged food sitting on one of the tables in the lounge. Stealing someone’s food wasn’t in her character, but the least she could do is give it back to them. She noticed the note offering the container’s contents when she picked it up, and soon thereafter she had scooped out some in a to-go coffee cup. It wasn’t warm anymore, but it was amazing and she needed to know who made it. In between bites, she noticed another girl had walked in so she had to pause to ask.
“Excuse me, do you know who made this food? You have to have some if you haven’t yet.”
