Namor is my specialist boy, and I will hear you praise the scion I've chosen to bless and whose destiny is to save all your ungrateful asses!
AND not to mention that Neptune's wife, Cleito, loves Namor too! She literally says he's her favorite son. Like Namor has a great relationship with his gods, he's not afraid of them nor does he not believe in them.

In two issues of Man-Thing volume 3, J.M. DeMatteis wrote an amazing, if trippy, time travel, sort of, tale of Pre-Cataclysmic Atlantis that tied that city, Plato’s Atlantis, sunken Atlantis, and Namor to the Nexus of Reality. Drawn by Liam Sharp, It was a fascinating, if confusing, tidbit about Atlantis that deserves to be explored far more.
Marvel Unofficial Appendix does a far better explanation than I can manage, including some clarification from J.M. DeMatteis.
