Clean Cleanse: Day 6
I know it's late but oh well. Today was probably my best day so far, minus a few minor tummyaches, but definitely a step up from some of my previous days :) I started off this morning with a 5 mile run, which was awesome! Still getting used to the whole running thing, but I felt really energized and overall pretty great when I finished instead of thrown out of whack, which is exactly what I was hoping for. I got ready and headed to work, and sipped down one of the juices I got yesterday during my morning shift. Work was busy, so I wasn't super focused on getting it down, but I probably finished it finally around 12:30 or so when I had my break. I picked up a green smoothie (peach, coconut water, spinach, and mint, yum!) and a small salad (spinach, garbanzo beans, cucumbers, and a few bites of cod) for my lunch, and saved about 3/4 of my smoothie for after I got off. When I got home, I ate a few of my sweet potato fries leftover from yesterday dipped in my avocado mix, and then took a short nap. I finished the rest of my smoothie and ate an apple with almond butter around 6:30 or 7ish. I finished up my meals for the day around 8 with a delicious kiwi. I felt kind of nauseous after waking up from my nap and drinking my smoothie, which made me not want much else. I think I might have just drank my smoothie too fast or something, but either way it finally stopped hurting a little before 9 after I had my kiwi and drank some water. All in all the day went well today. For the next few days ill be out of town to go get my dad finally (YAY! :) :) :) ) so keeping up with my meal plan might be a little more difficult, but I did do a little preemptive meal planning and packed some things to bring with me, so I think I will be fine. I brought my running shoes and clothes with me, so I might try to squeeze in a run tomorrow if I have downtime while I'm in SoCal, but if I don't get to I'm not too worried about it. I definitely feel like I'm on the right track to feeling better, which is helping me a TON to stick to this cleanse. The fact that it's such a long period of time is a little intimidating, but it's getting easier over time for sure! I have no doubts that I will be able to stick it out and hopefully help myself figure out what's going on with my body and what it needs to feel better. :) More to come!
