Definite yes. Around that same time you had pregnant women working on Sex & The City, Will & Grace, Friends, and ER just to name a few. Even back then what happened was uncommon and Joss going on an ego trip, but even more so particularly over a decade later. That’s just not something that commonly happens. At all. Not unless a network/studio/showrunners want a PR scandal and a discrimination lawsuit on their hands. It just isn’t a thing.
