[COVERAGE] 151011 #CLCinMY : “BEING HERE IN MALAYSIA RIGHT NOW, IT FEELS LIKE MEETING WITH NEIGHBORS. “ – SORN.

A rising rookie girl group, CLC, has spread their wings and marked Malaysia as the first country they visited for their ‘First Love’ oversea promotional tour not so long after they debuted few months ago in March. Formed by Cube Entertainment alongside with Beast, 4Minute, G.Na and BTOB, CLC (씨엘씨) which stands for Crystal Clear , is a multi-national girl group of five members which are Seung Hee (20), Yoo Jin (19), Seung Yeon (19), Sorn (19) and Ye Eun (17), has successfully attracted thousands fans to their fan-meetings in both East and Peninsular Malaysia.

The next day after the fan meeting in Kota Kinabalu, a press conference was held at Loud Speaker Karaoke, Setia Walk Puchong on the afternoon. The event started on 1:15pm and the Medias were greeted by the host who gave a few briefing before presenting the awaited group, CLC. Since it was their first time in oversea promo-tour event, the members were seen a bit nervous but they managed to make the environment nice with their cheerful and happy vibes along their self-introductions. After the host introduced a little bit information of CLC, it was time for the Q&A sessions, although not directly from the Medias as the questions were asked by the host.

Q&A session :

1. How do you find Malaysia so far (for the first time)?

(Seung Hee)

“It’s not only our first time here but also overseas. Malaysian fans are so friendly and we didn’t expect it to be crowded with fans but we’re so happy and we’ll work harder in the future”

2. What is the meaning of CLC?

(Seung Yeon)

“CLC is actually stands for Crystal Clear which means to shine brightly like a crystal. I think that it’s very suitable with our images, bright and clear.”

3. Have you ever thought about becoming a singer before?

(Ye Eun)

“We have become singers because of different reasons. We like to sing and dance ever since we were kids. So, we’ve always wanted to perform well in front of everyone.”

4. What would you be if you weren’t a singer?

(Seung Hee)

“I’m not sure because I’ve always like to sing and dance but maybe a radio editor.”

(Seung Yeon)

“I’d like to be a dance instructor because I’ve always like dancing.”

(Yoo Jin)

“I’m pretty much like Seung Yeon. I’d like to be a dance instructor because I like dancing”

(Ye Eun)

“If I’m not a singer, maybe I’d be a stewardess because I like to travel. But I’m a singer now, so I’m very happy.”

(Sorn)

“Since I like to design, so maybe a house or interior designer.”

5. Tell a little bit about First Love.

“Our debut mini-album First Love is filled with warm songs for the spring and the song title ‘First Love’ expresses the mind of a girl who gradually learns about pure and innocent love.”

6. How was your training before you debuted?

“We have been training for 2-4 years and we actually did many street (busking) performances. Once, it was a winter season but there were many fans that loyally listen to our songs and watched our performances. Since then, we have promised to perform well in the future for the fans.”

7. Having many famous seniors, how it benefits you? How are they helping you?

(Yoo Jin)

“Our seniors are so helpful and supportive. There was once when we became dancers for senior G.NA’s performances, she taught a lot on how to perform well and pose beautifully to the camera. We’re so thankful because it helps us a lot when we perform.”

8. What other talents that you girls have? Do you girls play instruments?

(Seung Hee)

“I play piano and guitar”

“We can play the guitar”

“Harmonica”

9. Sorn, representing Thailand, how are you feeling?

“As the first Thailand girl who debuted, I actually have to work twice harder because of the language barriers. But it’s nice since I get to meet a lot of people, especially like now in Malaysia, it feels like meeting a neighbor since I used to come here when I was kid”

10. You girls are pretty and dressed so well, so who takes the longest in dressing room?

(Seung Yeon)

“I think it’s me because I take care of everything. My hairstyles, outfits and since I don’t have double eyelids, it takes me time in making my eyes look pretty and charming”

11. Any Malay words have you learn?

(Seung Yeon)

“Aku cinta padamu (I love you).”

12. Do you have any plan for concert in Malaysia?

(Seung Hee)

“Yes. We will prepare well and once we have the opportunity, we will definitely come here.”

13. Since the end year award is almost near, what speeches would you give if you win an award?

(Sorn)

“We’d never think about it since there are so many rookie girl groups now but if we have the chance to win, the leader will give the speech right?”

(Seung Hee)

“Yes. I think if we have to thank all people that we’re grateful and thankful of, it will surely take time but I’ll still thank them anyway. If not live, maybe personally”

14. What is your favourite fashion style?

(Seung Hee)

“I’m more to casual and comfortable clothes with a hint of feminine.”

(Seung Yeon)

“I like hats such as snapbacks and beanies with an oversized shirt and short pants.”

(Yoo Jin)

“I also like casual and comfortable style. Maybe a skinny jeans with a creative tops, like a shoulder drop.”

(Ye Eun)

“I’m into a simple style that has a major point that represents me.”

(Sorn)

“I’m not sure whether I’m suitable with Korean fashion style but my favourite would be accessories, like bangles, necklace and rings.”

15. Variety shows that you would like to participate in?

(Seung Hee)

“It’d be ‘Hello Counselor’ because I like to talk and hear about the public. I want to know their opinions, experiences and knowledges of something.”

(Yoo Jin)

“I like shows that more to actions and physical things such as ‘Real Men’ and ‘Running Man’.”

(Ye Eun)

“I want to be a music programs’ emcee if I have the opportunity.”

(Sorn)

“I actually participated as an emcee for Arirang last month and I also would like be in ‘Goes Back to School’ because I want to know the Korean school experience.”

16. Things that you wants to try?

“For the time being, we have to focus on our group, CLC, more rather than doing other things but if we have any chances, we have so many things to try.”

After the Q&A session ended, CLC’s members had a photo sessions with the representatives; Mr. Wong from DubuYo, and Mr. Kong from Loud Speaker, presenting CLC’s autographed posters while Mr. Kenny from Universal Malaysia gave Malaysian traditional clothes which is baju kurung as souvenirs to the girls. Mr. Kenny also welcomed and thanked CLC’s members and all the medias, and wishing for the girls to comeback to Malaysia again.

CLC wrapped up the press conference by giving words to their fans in Malaysia, saying that they were grateful and thankful with the fans and hoping to meet them again in the future. Finally, CLC were back in to their room, preparing for the fan meeting in the evening after some photo sessions with the medias.
