does anyone want to talk about how claude was made to be singled out among the other two lords in his design, in his demeanor, in his premise. does anyone want to discuss the narrative that is created by paralleling claude and rheas dynamic with dimitri and edelgards and how this results in a story defined by two concurrent conflicts. does anyone have strong feelings about the two characters with fake names, white scales and green eyes, prince eternal and his immortal corps vs the saint named the immaculate one. hello hello is anyone out there

obsessed with the common association between claude and freedom - the wind that blows wherever it pleases, open skies, free will, a refusal to be bound. obsessed also with his habit of phrasing things like "NOTHING he did changed his situation" and "ALL he could do was destroy the boundaries" and "I HAVE to believe this path leads to the sight I dream of." tfw you did not ask to be born but now you are forever harnessed to your work and there is nothing to do about it because you only want the right to exist in a world that does not exist yet, that cannot exist unless you are the one to create it. and people will call it kindness but really you just don't know any other way to live. there's something beautiful about that but there is also the inescapable bittersweetness when you allow yourself to sit with it too long, but what choice do you have except to get so used to it you barely even notice? it's all your own choice and you've put that heavy burden down (until you haven't, really)

i think claude should be allowed to have a full mad scientist moment i think she'd enjoy it greatly. let her do some horrid unethical experiments on people she likes . treat for her
