It feels like such a natural modern equivalent to the way that the original Greek epics would have been performed in their original context, where each epic poem was essentially one long song performed to music

Full disclosure this video is entirely the result of me making one too many jokes about watching different versions of Little Women the same way I watch Hadestown until eventually some wires got crossed in my brain and I decided to start taking the concept seriously. And then decided to make a 43 minute long video essay about it because I’m nothing if not committed to the bit!
