17th Century Snaps 🕊️🪦👰🐇⚪️🐁🤍🪷
Golden light spills like whispered vows,
soft on curls that time allows.
A choker strung in threads of pearl,
adorns the neck of a wistful girl.
Her gown, a symphony of lace,
woven dreams in sheer embrace.
A fleeting echo, a painted trace,
of centuries past in a quiet place.
The candle flickers, the dusk is near,
a sigh is lost in velvet air.
She waits for words that never came,
a ghost of love, a whispered name.
Moonlight hums in silver streams,
carving shadows into dreams.
And though the past may fade away,
her beauty lingers—soft, astray.
I just saw this portrait of Darren Brown by Jamie Coreth (Turns out Coreth also studied at the Florence Academy at some point, but he was probably at the actual Florence branch, where things are nicer lol) in 2019. Jeeeeepers man… it’s so good. From the design to the execution. This is the level of celebrity portrait I’d be delighted to see.
