i do not understand what the mayor’s idea of the future is. she is not a stupid person. she is surrounded by public health experts. she has access to accurate epidemiological data. she cannot fail to understand that putting people in hotel rooms would permit social distancing, would be cheaper per capita than shelter beds, and as a side note would save the hotel industry. i do not understand the moscone center shelter plan unless she is genuinely hoping that large numbers of homeless people will die, and thus solve her “homelessness problem.” i cannot see any other feasible outcome. it is unconscionable to let people die from negligence; but this doesn’t feel like negligence. this feels like a planned massacre. 

If your car is broken when you’re on SSI disability, and you can’t afford to fix it, it’s still considered to be you owning a fully functional automobile by SSI. Meaning if you get a second car you can be dropped from SSI.

just because there are always poorer people doesn’t mean poverty is okay for anyone?

sorry but the literal maximum amount of money in a year a person on SSI disability can have is like $10,796, and again the poverty line starts at $12,071 a year. Disabled people can’t even save money up to the poverty line. just saying.
