Ship wars are unnecessary in this fandom, my friends. Your ship is canon. No matter what it is.

That’s why everything between the three of them is intentionally romantic, and also intentionally open. Do Aerith and Cloud seem like star-crossed lovers to you? You’re right. Do Tifa and Cloud seem like fire-forged soulmates to you? You’re right. Do the three of them seem like they’re all in a committed relationship with each other? You’re right. Does it seem like Cloud’s not into girls? You’re right. Go on a date with Barret at the Gold Saucer. (Or cry into your cereal bowl at the tragedy that he still hasn’t gotten over Zack/Sephiroth/that one ex-boyfriend who recognized that redacted and reached out lovingly when he jumped off a bridge onto that train.)

My dears, this is a waifu simulator disguised as an epic adventure. It’s all your choice. The only things invalid here are any arguments against another ship. I don’t think I can state this enough: every single relationship is canon. 

That’s kind of the point. XD
