surprising thing, im still on the french horse. for no particular use or reason, but to perhaps read french books some fine day.

i guess to love the life you have, sometimes you just gotta do something for no good reason, other than just because.

i’ve found that ‘just because’ is just as good a reason as any.

*im not happy about my mandarin but as a benchmark: i can now read more french than mandarin. its kind of a milestone for my pea brain, and i’m taking that as a tiny 2020 takeaway.

plus, i just unlocked a whole new world of memes: french memes.

and then you find the people that will help you along the way. strange how la vie be like that.

brought sambirby out to see some turtles for her birbday. (and her mum gave me a mint plant to take home!!)

also finally got to introduce her to jejoyce bc i’ve talked about both of them to each other waay to much for them to not be friends.

Halloween !

we made tie dye and then played crosswords and spelling bee very intensely . it was a good end to october .

and perfecting the art of third wheeling - not to mention as singular guest i was fed cake, pizza and tea !

first parking ticket ! yikes

so i got my first parking ticket with sambirb. but she is the one birb i will drive across the island for to have breakfast with.

also, sam was so bad at navigating her hood, we did 4-5 uturns in total. she bought me double scoop ice cream tho

it’s 2020, i am 26, and i made a new friend named rachel. she is lovely and smart and kind.

i am grateful for how this new friendship brings new life while i am torn by feelings of growing old.

though lately the world seems to be closing in.

some like it hot.
