On this day 80 years ago, one of Bob Clampett's best Looney Tunes shorts released - happy birthday to Baby Bottleneck!

Revisiting some old designs !! I haven't drawn any of my object head characters in a looooong time, so it was fun to revisit them and figure out expressions! I think this is the first time I've really nailed down brollys body language(drawing umbrellas is hard oughsh)

This is just lazy and unprofessional.

Starting the day right with a piece celebrating the 86th anniversary of Bob Clampett's black-and-white cartoon Porky's Last Stand!

Watched it plenty, but watched it AGAIN today while drawing this piece. It's one of my personal favorite Porky Pig cartoons, and Clampett's cozy directorial nature from this period is hardly matched by any other studio before and since, even by Clampett himself, who would ultimately inherit AND diverge to a breakneck gag style that had been refined by Tex Avery's unit years later! Initially this piece only featured Porky, but the urge to draw the short-lived, masked incarnation of Daffy also won out so he's here too (He is weirdly adorable with it ESPECIALLY in this cartoon). I was also initially concerned I'd deal with the classic problem of either one of the characters being really unwilling to have their likeness be drawn, but they both played nice for me this time around!
