New Year’s Resolution
For the next year, I will be challenging myself to create a new, original sketch for each of the 52 weeks. Â These sketches will correspond to an event or emotion I felt during each particular week, thus providing a sort of illustrated diary for 2016. Â I will upload each sketch on Saturday as a way to resolve and reflect on the past week. Â I encourage any artist to also partake in this challenge using the tag #52weeksofsketching. He’s not doing much. Just sitting outside, smoking his cigarette. Nathaniel isn’t home and Calen has been sitting on this bench for the last ten minutes. “Kind of creepy to feel eyes on me. You going to keep staring or at least say hello?”
