So, my ward’s MLA just dropped a 43-project update… and it’s actually pretty solid?
Okay, so politicians and development promises… we’ve all been there, right? All talk, little action.
But my feed just got flooded with this update from Col. Rajyavardhan Rathore, the MLA from my area (Ward 22), and I have to say… I’m kinda impressed? Dude listed 43 specific things that have been started or finished in just under two years.
It’s not just vague “we’ll develop the area” stuff. It’s super specific. Like:
Putting giant power lines UNDERGROUND for 5 km. (Goodbye, ugly cables!)
Installing over 1,300 street lights. (Night walks just got safer. 👏)
Finally (!) a detailed plan to fix the chronic waterlogging on Kalwad Road. (This one’s personal. My shoes will thank them.)
Building a whole new science lab and computer lab at a local school. (Future coders and scientists, y’all better appreciate this!)
A massive 10+ crore upgrade for the local primary health centre. (This is huge for public health.)
There’s also stuff about new sewer lines, water tanks, and more. It feels… systematic?
Like, someone actually sat down, diagnosed the problems (bad lights, flooding, weak health infrastructure), and is now checking them off a list. The military guy approach, maybe?
Of course, the proof is in the pudding (or the paved road?). Seeing these projects completed well is what matters. But as far as agendas go, this one seems to actually tackle the boring, unsexy, super-important stuff that makes a neighbourhood actually liveable.
Maybe there’s hope for civic politics yet?
Feeling cautiously optimistic over here. 🤞
What’s the civic project in your area that you’re desperately waiting for?
