Cecil was grateful that her sister was alive. She truly was. She could not think of something more terrifying than going through life without her by her side. But the words uttered by the Wraith still rang through her mind.

There will be a price to pay.

What would be the price? And would they be able to bear it?

For now, she did not want to think about it. She just wanted to hold her tight.

– Why are you getting so emotional? Carlisle chuckled. I'm doing fine. I feel much better already.

Cecil was not the only one sentimental tonight. Maes came up to her, after his long day of work, eyes lit up with stars.

– I just want you to know that I love you so much. You are everything to me. You and our son, of course.

Carlisle giggled as they leaned into a deep kiss. She had never felt this happy in a long time. She was finally learning that she didn't need to worry so much all the time. Her mind had a tendency to always look for what could go wrong. She never expected much from marriage, but at that time, she could not imagine what it would feel like to be cherished so much.

A new day rose upon Maes and Carlisle's house, after what had been an incredibly short night. The little Cedric had barely slept more than a couple hours in a row, and was already screaming from hunger.

Carlisle was feeling strong enough to stand now, although not for long. She was grateful to be able to hold her baby boy. But she had not accounted for the fact that newborns tend to throw up whenever they are moved around.

Again, she wondered how her sister was dealing with motherhood with such serenity. In truth, she might have been too tired by her own pregnancy to truly pay attention to her niece's moods.

These two make me laugh.

Cecil was impatienly waiting for Tristan to come to bed, but he was busy fixing the tub (that he broke lol).

I think they're going to have lots of babies 😅

Final Result: So mostly tsundere with a little bit of the others mixed in? Sounds fair. He’s very much “I don’t like you fuck you” at first (even though he REALLY LIKES YOU) and then grossly affectionate and caring once he caves and admits it. Add in some nasty anxiety and you’ve got a mess of a man.
