another day begins with the rising sun, slowly starting to heat the cool nights air as kuroo pulls on his sneakers, tying the laces into double knots. mostly everyone was still sleeping, trying to grab as much rest as they could before the days work began. he uses his legs to push his body up from the hammock he calls a bed — at one time, he’d winced every time he stood up in the morning, cursing how low the hammock was tot he ground, but no longer.
the smell of bacon wafts through the air and straight to his nose, causing his stomach to grumble alerting him to how hungry he actually is. he wonders how long they’d already been awake, working on the food. thank whoever was above for the kitchen staff.
kuroo nods to a few people just beginning to wake up, as he makes his way over to the map-room. the building comes up in his line of sight fairly quickly, the path already memorized in his head — it’s walls are made completely out of sticks woven and held together by rope and leaves. the building looks sturdy despite the materials it was made from. covering the last ten feet his pushes through the door, only slightly surprised to see someone else inside.

with a gentle smile she hands over a towel and a bottle of sports drink she’d just got finished preparing. the entire team looks like they need a break, they’ve all been practicing so hard lately in order to make sure they’re prepared for all of the matches.
“please, don’t forget to hydrate. the last thing we need is bokuto in dejected mode because out first string setter is out with dehydration.” ( @citycwl )
