Late last month, Live Action founder and prominent pro-life leader Lila Rose spoke at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women.
"If everybody here agrees, and I think they do, that it is never right to intentionally take an innocent human life, it’s never right to intentionally take an innocent human life. And if we know there is a life in the womb, and he or she is innocent, and an abortion intentionally ends her life, then it is never right to commit an abortion."
"This is not women’s empowerment," she emphasized.
"We need to change the way we are looking at this entirely, and not look down on countries that have laws against abortion, but instead look to them," she contended.
Ann Kioko, campaigns manager for Africa at CitizenGO, echoed the same about a so-called "women’s right to choose."
"When you come to my village and you tell a woman that they should have a right to choose killing their own baby, they will be surprised, because in my village, a child is a blessing," Kioko told the panel.
"At the end of the day, when you say, 'it’s a choice,' — it’s a choice to do what? To kill an unborn baby — a pre-born baby. To take her life. It’s plainly murder. That’s all I can say," she added.

Dutch gender expressionism spokesperson Karst Schaafsma and media co-ordinator for CitizenGO recently came out as a beautiful trans girl, to the delight of her fellow CitizenGO activists and colleagues.
Having been raised strictly at the Tilburg School of Catholic Theology, Schaafsma faced a lot of hardship growing up trans. It was not until adulthood that she felt confident enough to fight for the rights of people to express themselves freely in such ways, and had been married (to a cisgender woman) for some time before finally coming out as transgender herself. Her wife at the time, Marilou Schaafsma, took the news poorly and the two were divorced in early 2024, with her taking custody of their child of around two.
Karst, who now goes by Kirsty, told us in an online interview conducted in November 2024 that she is saddened by her ex-wife's reaction. She is separated from her son, and is not allowed to even visit. "I am not a threat to my child," Kirsty told us, "not to any child. I simply wish to live my life the way I truly am." Unfortunately, Kirsty is not the only transwoman living through such troubling discrimination.
We reached out to CitizenGO for further comments on Kirsty Schaafsma's tragic tale, but were blocked at every turn.

The right-wing campaigning platform has coordinated mass online petitions – and offline actions. Its reach is growing, alarming hum
"The rise of CitizenGo
CitizenGo started in Spain, as a project of another controversial organisation (the ultra-Catholic) HazteOir. It now claims to have millions of supporters in more than 50 countries.
In the UK, CitizenGo’s articulate volunteer spokesperson Mario Velasco told me: “We are active citizens who think it is possible to live in a society where family and freedom of speech and religion and life is a priority. The internet is providing us with a tool, which is not good or bad. But we have the moral duty to use it for good, and that is our main goal”.
HatzeOir was founded in 2001. Earlier this year, a team of investigators in Spain traced links between the group and “El Yunque”, a mysterious secret society that allegedly has cells across Mexico and the US mobilised to “defend the Catholic religion and fight the forces of Satan though violence or murder”, according to Mexican investigative journalist Alvaro Delgado. Previously, in 2014 a judge dismissed a claim by HazteOir disputing links between the groups.
CitizenGo describes itself as “pro-family” and a defender of life, family, freedom, and dignity. Madrid lawyer Ignacio Arsuaga, reportedly the great-grandson of a general who served the late dictator General Francisco Franco, sits at the helm of both it and HatzeOir. ..."
A lesser known extreme right-wing, virulently homophobic movement to watch out for. And fight.
