ā if ( st. petersburg ) were a person, i think it would be someone like ( nikolai romanov ). theyād be ( amicable & radiant ), but ( naĆÆve & headstrong ). bet theyād look something like ( louis tomlinson ), around ( twenty-three ) years old and a really great ( ballet dancer ), you know what, that description kind of reminds me of the person in ( apartment 1e ). i heard they ( were kicked out by their family for not getting into the royal Moscow ballet academy )!
ć x ćfirst of all, let's get through the basics. nikolai is twenty-three, and was born in moscow, russia. they're a demiboy and respond to they/them, he/him or well.. literally any pronouns, they won't mind. they're employed as a full-time ballet dancer at the local opera, and you'll find them at the 1e apartment, fun times. pansexual, so u know, if u wanna jump at them, ur permitted to do so. (why did i write this)
ć x ći presume you'd like to know a bit about his past, right? well darling niko here was born as the youngest child in the family of three, their parents and older sisters had made it into the russian royal theatre as professional ballet dancers, so naturally that was the fate destined for niko as well. but obviously, something went wrong on the way, why would he be in america otherwise? well, hang on tight, kids, i will get there.
ć x ćdid they not train hard enough? they sure did. blisters and bruises on their feet is something nikolai has been used to ever since they first learned how to walk. however, waking up before sunrise every morning just to practice was too much for a kid who wanted to run around, play and get into trouble. so, niko was often distracted and would often skip practice, spending the evening out with their friends instead. the result? they were good, but not good enough to get into the royal ballet academy of moscow. sad.
ć x ć quite unfortunately, at the age of eighteen, niko was pretty much told by his family to move out. they couldn't continue the pure romnov lineage of highly praised dancers, and thus, had no room in the house.
ć x ćthey spent a year doing temp jobs just to get by and, you know, not die of starvation. in their spare time, nikolai was busy sending applications to schools all over the world, praying to get a scholarship literally anywhere, until a university in the states gave him a full scholarship for dancing, so they finally had a reason to leave russia and at least try to pursue their dream, yay.
ć x ćso, that's how they ended up in st. abery, dancing for the local opera, making the ends meet, sending audition tapes to pretty much every major theatre in the country. can't complain, really.
ć x ćnikolai is a total sweetheart, if you were wondering. friendly, and, despite being rather small in size, gives the tightest hugs you've ever received. rather naive and quite easy to manipulate, rather stubborn as well - if they've set their mind on something, they're not gonna back down.
ć x ćdon't underestimate them, though - nikolai didn't spend countless years in vigorous training for nothing, they're tough as nails and have a high pain endurance. what i'm tryna say is, don't fuck them.
ć x ć they're st. petersburg in the sense that they're classy and elegant, they have a thing for fine arts, sometimes cold as the siberian winters, yet, hiding the fiery slavic temper underneath. (cŃŠŗŠ°, Š±Š»ŃŃŃ!). ć x ćnikolai isn't just sweet and boring, though. they're quite the partier, because let's be real, no one can hold their liquor quite like a russian can. (and trust me, they will be complaining that american alcohol is way too weak). the're loud and talkative, which is why their big mouth often gets them in trouble. however, niko doesn't mean ill, they're just a nice kid that would love for everyone to have fun at all times.
