Royal St. George’s rallying to CISAA tennis title
The Royal St. George’s Knights tennis team has their sights focused on the playoffs, as they have yet to be defeated this season.
The Annex-based squad has handled their competition in dominant fashion. Lead by Luke Hoover, Jet Bent-Lee and Joe Dickson, the Knights have lost all but three individual matches in their four team competitions this season. All three boys have yet to lose a match.
Sitting at 4–0 as of press time, the first-place Knights have wins over St. Mike’s, Bayview Glen, Trinity College School and Lakefield College School.
They face second place Upper Canada College in their regular finale May 14.
Crescent School has been celebrating their 100th birthday all year long! As part of their celebrations, the school's junior boys' hockey team faced off against the junior hockey squad from Royal St. George’s College for the Hockey Day Feb. 20!
(Birthday celebrations also include a rugby game, a golf tournament, and a year-ending centennial party in June. Happy birthday, Crescent!)
North Toronto Memorial Arena was abuzz! Add to that: Crescent won 5–2!

Congrats to the Royal St. George's Knights: CISAA Division II hoops champs!
By defeating Appleby College 62–50 in the CISAA Division II finals Mar. 2, the Knights clinched the title — and an undefeated season!
Huzzah!
Royal St. George's College is fielding their most successful senior boys basketball team in a very long time. This past weekend, the Knights won a tournament, the 2013 Selwyn House School Invitational in Montreal. They went 4–0! Congrats!
We will have more on this team in the coming days. Stay tuned.

An epitome of their spirit weeks, the Bishop Strachan School and Havergal College senior girls' hockey teams competed in an match to determine the winner of the Hewitt Cup, named after a Bobcat alum. The atmosphere was feverish at North Toronto Memorial Arena, as students of both schools packed the bleachers to cheer on their girls.

The Crescent Coyotes senior boys' basketball team had a long week.
After a triumphant win over the Greenwood Grizzlies 48–35 (top) Jan. 28, the Crescent kids visited St. Mike's, where they were trounced 61–25 (bottom) Jan. 30.
Nick Morris (#34 - top photo) had a solid game against Greenwood. Mike Peterkin (#33 - bottom) was a spark plug for Crescent, when the Coyotes were trying to get back into the game against St. Mike's.
More details to come. All photos by Francis Crescia.
