Volt takes a shaky breath. "I do... I really want to... " His form glitches and he winces in pain.

"I can't stay here... It's breaking me apart..." He pulls at his hair. "FUCK. I... Why can't I have this... WHY?"

He sits on the ground and keeps pulling hair.

Eddie tries to hold Volt's hand, but Volt jerks away. "Please don't... Just..." His form glitches again. He says nothing.

Eddie gets startled by the eel and swims away from it with Logan. When they reach the surface Eddie looks around as if making sure it's gone.

Eddie and Volt walk into the gala with 8 other people.

Eddie is wearing a black suit with copper wire strands run across his vest. The pants are similar, and his undershirt is white with ruffles.

Volt is wearing a similar outfit except it has silver wire and a jacket. He also has a loose bow tie string for his shirt. It's a nice yellow color. His hair is tied into a half up ponytail.

Virva has come along too. Virva is in a simple green dress with rose gold wings on it. They also have several ring bracelets of the same nature on their wrists. They decorated their wings with some gold jewelry. Her brown hair is made to be fluffier curls and goes to her chest.

She still refused to wear shoes.

Leap is wearing a sparkling white and gold dress with her long brown curly hair tied into two space buns. She has gold loop earrings and bracelets to match with leaf and star charms. Her tiny wings have some gold jewelry added to the feathers, and her shoes are white with yellow accent chunky heels.

Ari wears a green sparkling dress with silver and blue accents. She adorns the same jewelry in silver as Leap, and her bee like wings have some silver moons applied. Her hooves are adorned silver with blue accents. Her long loose brown curls are tied into two pigtails.

The five walk in with Ethos, Virgil, Patton, Remy, and Logan/Iliad.

Volt smiles. "You don't have to sing if you wish not to, but I do know a song you may recognize the tune of~"

He messes with the machine for a bit before a familiar tune comes on. After a few moments Remy could recognize it as the song Eddie hums. The lyrics come. Volt is singing 'everything stays.'

"Let's go in the garden You'll find something waiting Right there where you left it lying upside down When you finally find it, you'll see how it's faded The underside is lighter when you turn it around"

He matches the tune well, and he even matches the voice well as if he can mimic the voice. He can mimic voices?

"Everything stays right where you left it Everything stays But it still changes Ever so slightly, daily and nightly In little ways, when everything stays"

...

As the song goes on he closes his eyes and focuses on it. The song seems just as important to Volt as it does Eddie.

As the song closes Volt smiles and looks at Remy.

"...When everything stays"

He takes a deep breath and sets the mic back down. His voice goes back to his normal one. "What did you think?"

Eddie clings into the kiss, practically begging this moment wouldn't end before he wanted.

When he pulls away he stares directly into Remy's eyes. The eye contact seems special for him too.

"I love you, live wire..." He runs his hands through Remy's hair and lets his nails give that relaxing feel. "... I want to savor this... I know it won't last."

Volt takes some deep breaths. He needs to stay calm. At least for now.

He shapeshifts into a dragonic form and picks up both of them. Eddie weakly complains, but makes no real effort to get out.

Volt brings them back up to the apartment and puts Logan on the couch.

He grabs some spare clothes he put in the bathroom after last time and gets dressed.

Eddie nods. He seems worried, but he doesn't say why yet. "Yeah I think I'd like that..."

He heads out to where Ari is. "Ari? Is Remy here?" Ari turns around. "I uh yeah.. Are you okay now?" Eddie nods with a soft smile.

"I'm fine now, but Remy?... Volt said he found someone in the void... It seems important from how Volt said it."

Ari furrows her brows in confusion.
