Transform frozen bread dough into delicious cinnamon roll donuts with a sweet glaze. These homemade donuts are perfect for breakfast or a sweet treat any time of the day.
Ingredients: 1 package of frozen bread dough 16 ounces. 1/4 cup 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon. 1 cup powdered sugar. 2 tablespoons milk. 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract. Vegetable oil for frying.
Instructions: Thaw the frozen bread dough according to the package instructions. Roll out the thawed dough on a lightly floured surface into a 1/4-inch thick rectangle. Brush the melted butter evenly over the dough. In a small bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the buttered dough. Roll up the dough tightly, starting from one long edge. Slice the rolled dough into 1-inch wide sections to create cinnamon roll donuts. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or a heavy-bottomed pot to 350F 175C. Carefully place the cinnamon roll donuts into the hot oil using a slotted spoon or tongs. Fry the donuts for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through. Remove the donuts from the oil and drain on a paper towel-lined plate. In a separate bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract to make the glaze. Dip each warm cinnamon roll donut into the glaze, ensuring it's fully coated. Place the glazed donuts on a wire rack to allow excess glaze to drip off. Serve the donuts warm and enjoy!
