What could a solid, cinnamon molly (Who carries dilute, mackerel tabby, and has a natural bobtail), and a gray mackerel tabby tom (Who carries solid and the white spotting gene- he's about 20% white himself) produce together? Both cats are shorthaired, and the molly has green eyes while the tom has amber. (But he has green-eyed cats in his immediate family tree.)
About half the kits will be grey and about half will be black. About half will be mackerel tabbies (remember, black > brown tabby!) and about half will be solid. If both parents carry longhair, about 25% of the kits will be longhaired; otherwise, they will all be shorthair. About half the kits will have some white but no more than 60%; probably somewhere around the same amount as their father.
We can’t accurately predict eye color (besides blue eyes, to some extent), so follow your instincts in regard to that.
