I will never not find it funny how in Poland, the term for slippers is really regional. "kapcie" is kind of a universal term, but generally we all use our own terms. In Lublin (in Eastern Poland), we call them ciapy. My friend from Lubosz in Western Poland calls them pantofle or kapcie, and judged me so hard for what we call slippers in lublin.
Other terms I've come across include:
- laczki
- pantofle ranne if you're really extra 🙄 (morning slippers)
- papucie/papcie
- lacie
- łapcie
- trepy
- bambosze
- szłapy
- klapki (although as a universal term this means flip flops - or so I assume. That's what they mean in Lublin)
- loads of dimunitives of the ones listed above lol
