what do you think is the cutest OP of the KH series? im thinking Birth by sleep but i want your opinion ^^
I haven't played Kingdom Hearts since 2019 so I had to watch them all again. The Birth by Sleep one is defo in the top 3, I think it's just brought down by the reuse of the underwhelming PlantiB remix of Hikari/Simple and Clean. That's a general issue with most of the openings, they're just recycled music that we've heard again and again.
I would say that for me the best opening is the Birth by Sleep 0.2 a Fragmentary Passage one. From beginning to end it's just a spectacle to watch and the new Ray of Hope remix of Hikari/Simple and Clean is a bop.
But you ask what is the cutest opening of the series. I would have to go with Dream Drop Distance. Even though we're getting the orchestral version of Hikari from KH1 used again, it's just so creative with how it's using the Disney IPs and showing new content and scenes. Using sorcerer Mickey in the Fantasia style with Sora, Donald and Goofy appearing from pop up book pages is wonderfully charming.
I don't play Kingdom Hearts anymore but it was really lovely to watch all of those openings again.
