Wedding post We are floored by the amount of people telling us they have wedding withdrawals! We definitely plans everything to make this fun and exciting! All the planning stress was worthwhile! It became like a festival with withdrawals and everything! Just as we planned! Fun fact: Our #weddingbands are custom made with #chuknessmonster's ashes! We carry our 3rd piece of "The 3 of us" every where we go now! A few of my fav things from the #wedding: The soap included in our cabin's welcome packet was handmade by our Best Man's wife Teri! Even more addition to our collection of eco-friendly wedding knickknacks and talented wedding guests! The photos from the #instax are now on our coffee table! We didn't have a photo booth, but we had photo cut outs! 😆 Unfortunately, we didn't place it in an easy to see spot, so only a few people got to take photos in it! We also made passport stamps since this is an #adventurewedding. Upon research, we realized we can't legally stamp passports with "souvenir" stamps! @rahkster custom designed pretty much every thing from our wedding invitations, wedding website, "Where in the world do I sit?" table assignments, the wedding stamp, etc etc! Fun fact: we kiss every time we see a Florida license plate. This habit has been going on since 2009. --- This year has tested our strength. We found wedding planning too easy. Then, the universe handed us a challenge. #chuknessmonster got diagnosed with leukemia in May. We spent 3 months giving him the utmost care, and he rested end of July. Grieving is now combined with wedding planning. Grief, stress, loneliness, confusion, worry, and longing took turns plaguing our minds. We still have lingering feelings of each while holding on to the short blips of excitement we have for the wedding. We went camping to try to clear our minds, reset, get away from the stress, and grab some negative ions. We are slowly coming out of our rut, and realized the energy of the house is more grim than we thought. (Maybe Chuki was giving the house love this whole time and now that he's gone, the house is grieving, too) We can't ignore the fact that we fought multiple times, cried, hid feelings, and felt completely disconnected from the world these past 3 months because of various worries, and this is all the house felt. I am still unsure of my actual state of being at this moment. We are both learning what spiritual impact losing a loved one has on both of us. Planning a wedding through it makes both experiences very difficult to understand. Two major life events came crashing in at once. Keisuke aka "Chuki" 2002 (?) - July 29, 2019 We will never know how old the #chuknessmonster truly is. Chuki nudged @rahkster's forehead when he was working under his car, and chuki was already a grown 🐈. We have been getting so much love and support regarding Chuki! We are filled with love and gratitude during the toughest experience we've been through. It's been a week, and I miss his meow, I miss waking up with him, coming home to him, and going to bed with him. I miss petting his soft fur, hugging his heftyness, and seeing him walk, sit, sleep, anything. I miss taking him outside. I miss my crafting assistant. I miss coming home and trying to guess where he is at in the house. I miss seeing @rahkster and him cuddling, and me trying to fit myself in to complete "the three of us". I miss telling him that he's my favorite thing. I am looking forward to our future with him! Chuki was the best cat. At the vet, he would get random discounts on visits! When we showed up on an emergency with no appointment, the vet would say, "oh, it's Chuki?! I'll see him right now!" Vet techs that weren't working with him on that day would pop into the room just to give him kisses! One of the vet techs said, "I've been working here 20 years and he is my top 5 fav! He is a once in a lifetime cat!" I wouldn't know any different because I've never really had a pet. I followed @rahkter's lead when it comes to taking care of him. A lot of our friends would say, "this cat has a soul!" It's because Ray treated him like a person! Chuki was allowed to do whatever he wanted! He can eat on the counter with us, he ate wild caught, organic food. We took him out on walks at night, walking around the dark corners of the neighborhood with him. We took him on vacation specifically for his enjoyment! Ray would willingly spend all the money on Chuki's medical bills, anything to get him figured out. Ray taught me to see pets like people, cuddling and playing with Chuki every day! We cuddled him all the way until he took his last breath. I don't know what I did to deserve the companion of these two. They've taught me so much about how to live life. I'm going to miss waking up with him cuddled up on me! Keisuke aka Chuki 2002 (?) - July 29, 2019 You taught me so much about compassion, cherish, patience, sacrifice, and now letting go. You brought me joy every moment and was the glue that held Ray and I together through the toughest times. Thank you for all the memories and the lessons you've given us! Rest in fluff, #chuknessmonster! ...... Chuki had been an outdoor cat since 2012. At his weakest, he was still super strong. Towards the end, he could barely walk. He would take a couple of steps and sit down. On his last night, we stayed up from sunset to sunrise with him outdoors. 🌱 We carried him to certain places, and he spent his last energy taking his last walk around his favorite spots around the house. We couldn't believe he was walking that far! It's almost like he knew those were his last moments. The in house vet finally came by, her name was Dr. Vina Alexis. Weirdly enough, the guy in charge of cremating him was Raymond! He was well taken care of all the way to the end. Good bye, honey bear.
