Lee Brice was surrounded by friends last night (July 16), when he hosted a benefit concert for Folds of Honor in Nashville. The first of a three-show series, the event held at Nashville's Analog at Hutton Hotel serves as a way to raise awareness and money for the organization, which aims to provide educational scholarships to spouses and children of America's fallen and disabled service members.

Photo by Tammie Arroyo/AFF-USA.com The concert included performances by Lee, Jake Owen, Tyler Farr and Chuck Wicks as well as songwriters Rob Hatch and Dallas Davidson. Swapping stories and songs in a guitar pull, the laidback atmosphere allowed the artists and their songs to shine. Special guest Ginger Gilbert Ravella, a Gold Star wife who lost her husband Troy in 2006, was also in attendance. The widow spoke on behalf of Folds of Honor, and thanked the audience for helping to raise over $3,300 for the cause. "They do amazing things for the families of our military,” Lee previously said of the organization. Monday night's event is the first of a series of three shows dubbed “Lee Brice Presents: The Analog Series." The second and third shows will take place on Aug. 27 and Oct. 1, with each date highlighting a different cause. In August, Lee will pay honor Women of Country while October's show will feature Lee and several friends as they pay tribute to Route 91 Harvest Festival's one-year anniversary. “I’m thankful to SESAC and Analog, my partners in this series, for coming alongside me to make these shows happen," Lee says in a statement Lee recently caught up with One Country at CMA Fest in June and explained how undergoing vocal surgery didn't terrify him. "I’m always the dude that’s like, ‘All right, cut it out. Get it out of there and then I’ll work through it. I’ll do my physical therapy and we’ll fix it and I’ll be back better than ever,’" he explains. "Just like when you sprain an ankle or do something in football, fix it. Let’s get back to where I can be a hundred percent instead of fifty percent or thirty percent."
