Welcome to K9PT’s Pack Walk Essential Guide!
Our Pack Walks have been going very well with the clients that we have started with so far! I (Courtney) am making this guide to help our clients get the most out of this experience that they can with their canine companions. Below, you will find the resources that we use with Ace and Krypto on our walk and hiking adventures!
Our first item that we never go out without is our Adventure Seekers Dog BackPack that we purchased from Petco! This backpack is great for a multitude of reasons such as: - Has a “ThunderShirt” effect when taking your dog out and will help keep them calm and relaxed. - Has two large pockets that we put one frozen water bottle on each side along with some supplies listed below! - Creates a safe “workout” for your canine companion resulting in a much more efficient walk.
Our next item is our RexSpecs Dog Goggles! These goggles have been a life saver for Krypto who is vision impaired and has extreme sensitivity to the sun. We also like to use them of Ace when we are out working so that his eyes are protected from obviously the sun as well as debris.
We also always pack the boys with their Good2Go Collapsible Travel Bowl! Each boy gets one of these packed in their backpacks! Water is so extremely important when going for long walks or hiking!
We also always bring our Good2Go Within Limits Training Lead (30ft) so that if we encounter a field or the ocean, Krypto has a safe way to enjoy it just as much as Ace gets to!
Lastly, we ALWAYS bring a toy on our walk and that toy is ALWAYS a ChuckIt! toy made by PetMate!
